I slept seven hours straight last night. Yay!
I slept seven hours, too. Two, then three, then two.
I slept for 5, and then for 2 more.
I had cup of noodles for breakfast. I am down to the last cup, this is serious as I still can’t chew and the broth makes my throat feel better.
I slept like a baby. I woke up every two hours, wet myself and cried.:D;)
Frosty this morning.
Shell, get thee to the grocery store for more Cup O [del]Noodles[/del]BRAAAIIINNNZZZZZZZ!
Sticky, so RT puts you to sleep?
Is your karma screwed from planning it, or must an act actually be carried out?
It’s raining here, although there is snow in some surrounding areas. (Or sn*w as a news broadcaster called it on Twitter.
)
I’m eating shredded wheat and drinking orange juice for breakfast. I figured that I’d eat something healthy after having eaten too many cookies yesterday.
**flytrap **- my karma was all about payback - I don’t think that counts.
Future painting booth is emptied. Many many boxes and bags and cases of stuff are strewn about the woodshop. After we rest up a bit, we will start sorting trash from sellable from keepable. Anybody wanna buy a 55-y/o cherry china hutch? Its finish is rough, but with some work, it’d be really purdy!! We just have no room for it. I hate to get rid of it, but sense is winning out of sentiment, dammit.
And there are tons of books to be sorted thru. Where’s a good place to donate unwanted books? I figure if we haven’t looked at them in 9 years, we won’t miss them.
There are also lots of photos, most of which I’ll probably toss. Like the pics of my trip to Paris 30 years ago - I don’t recall what half of them are. It’s going to be an afternoon wandering down memory lane. I don’t see any yard work being accomplished.
I can figure out most of the names either by titles, locations or posting style. It’s a little bit of work, but kind of amusing.
Just posted a bunch of recipes to the blog.
swampy, I have a question about your pear relish: What do use to grind the pears, etc?
Sorry about that, rosie. Hugs and good luck.
Be patient with the energy, Sticky. It comes back pretty slowly, but one day you notice you’re moving at a normal pace again and can do everything you need to.
Sounds like you’re doing what I need to do, FCM. I usually take books to 1/2 Price Books and try to get a bit of money back. But Goodwill and other charities take books. Libraries will take some, but are usually pretty picky and generally use them in book sales.
Off to get stuff done.

There’s only one thing we can do to thwart the plot of these albino shape-shifting lizard BITCHES!
Albino? Why, I’m a wonderful shade of gangrene!![]()
BRRRRR! 41 degrees is darn cold!
Anyway, clearing the table and doing the dishes!!:mad::mad: I HATE that job. Hate it. It is gross. I touch greasy plates and get food on my hands! EWW! :p:mad:
I hope I never have to do that job again. But I will, every single damn night.
Jimmy Crest (your new official nickname) - doing dishes is a piece of cake compared to scrubbing a shower. In fact, shower scrubbing is my mostest hated chore EVAR!!! I’ll do your dishes if you keep my shower sparkly clean!!
Speaking of sparkly clean, we just finished loading the truck with the trash and the recycling. I have 2 or 3 boxes of books to give away and another couple of miscellaneous boxes for goodwill, as well as one box of boat stuff (and tons more in the shed) for our friend who does boat stuff with kids. There are also 4 or 5 totes/duffles that need to be blown clean (very dusty) and they’ll go to goodwill also. It’s amazing how much crap we got rid of.
But there are 3 large boxes of files that we need to sort/shred/save/toss as applicable - some has SSNs and other identity-stealing info, so we’ll have to be diligent. Later. After this break, we’re going to the convenience center with the recycling and the dump with the trash. Then I’m going to write up a few ads for the local classifieds. I found a box full of 200 and 300 watt light bulbs left by the last owners. I gave them a shake test and they seem to be intact, but I don’t want them. I’ve also got some little bins that we don’t need - **BBBobbio **(can’t remember your zombie name) - would VWife like some little bins for sorting her crafty stuff?
And after all that, we reduced the crap that filled 4 sets of shelves to about 1 anna half sets. We’ve got tons of space to store more stuff. But I still need to rehome the hutch - I think that’ll be another ad.
Go us!!
Back home from buying Amish fleas at the Amish Flea Market. Also stopped at the dump, the pharmacy, and the local BJs wholesale while I was out. I feel a nap comin’ on…
ZombieMom, you dodged a bullet today, cuz I almost stopped at Bert’s for brekkies meself, but I didn’t know how grumpy FCD was, therefore I didn’t crash your party. And VWife (unbitten) wants your bins, too.
Chinese [del]brrrrrraaaaaaiiiiiinnnnnnssssss[/del] comestibles have been consumed at the good [del]hog trough[/del] buffet place. Hey, OYKW wanted to go and he bought so who was I to deprive him of the pleasure?
gt I ground the [del]brrrrrraaaaaaiiiiiinnnnnnssssss[/del] pears with the grinder attachment to my KitchenAid mixer. Glad I spent the money for that mixer. Been well worth it.
Spock I do so admire your complexion!
If I had a home to put it in I would like the cheery hutch FCM. However I have no place to put it and if I brought it here it would just get swallowed up in the hoard. I need to wash my hair but the doctor told me to keep water out of my ear so that will be a bit hard to do.
I need to get ready to watch piddle pup, I hope she is good this weekend.
I want to irk but until I can hear there isn’t much point in it. Asking customers to keep repeating themselves will just cause problems for me. I tried switching my ear piece to the non infected ear and while I can hear what people are saying I don’t understand what they are saying. That sounds so stupid to me but I wonder if people are right and left eared the same way we are right or left handed.
Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) made a great roast last night. I ate some for breakfast.
We finally have a higher life form in the saltwater tank. I bought two peppermint shrimp in hopes they will eat the aiptasia. The lady at the fish store like to glue them with superglue and yank them out.
I also got food for the new discus.
You could’a come to Bert’s but you couldn’t have shared our booth - we had one of the cozy little ones!
Lemme know when you’d like to get the bins. They need to be washed out, just FYI.
The nice attendant at the convenience center said we could dump all our garbage there, so we saved the ride to the dump and $10 - yay!
So that chore’s done. Now we need to move the work table into the new paint room. It weighs a ton - good thing we have a furniture dolly…
Way back years ago when I lived in Cecil County, if you recycled at the dump they would let you carry your trash over to the other side and not charge the fee.
I cannot believe all the damn calls I am getting ever since I put in for an estimate on PODs. I keep getting them from the POD place, the alternate POD place, moving companies. I guess I should answer and tell them to stop calling, but knowing my luck I will get the free trip, lower my interest rate, or my computer has a virus one.
I have them all set to be rejected but unfortunately this phone sends them to voice mail. My blackberry would just hang up on them and the send them a very long text about how my number was on the DNC list and they were in violation of (made up code number) and had been reported and if they felt their number had been reported in error to call their service provider with (made up code number).
I need to get cleaned up and ready to go. I have to make Sah-son get up and run to the store with me first as I need more cup of noodles and he needs more food. I can drop him off at the house and them move on to piddle pup’s.
I lurves me some one hunnert percent cotton shirts. I hates me some ironin’. I need a maid. A studly maid, who will iron my shirts while I watch. Woe is me.
You mean OYKW doesn’t do your ironing?
