It’s always good to call out your typos in extra large, bolded, red font.
The bastard who first had OBL beat him, to the point when we first got him he would cower if I lifted my arm to, say, scratch my ear…even if I wasn’t looking at him. I “beat” this habit out of him by (playfully) hitting him so much that when I started to smack him, he’d run away, not with tail between his legs but up high, swishing back & forth looking for that toy. “Oh boy, oh boy, playtime with Daddy!” Swampy, maybe Jake didn’t like you a-salt-ing Pepper. :o
Sari, I highly recommend Petco’s house brand, Sophresh. It is clumping and non-scented. You can buy a jug or a bucket, and refill from the giant tub o’ litter in the store.
I’m leaving irk early today not because of the weekend but because the antibiotics and cellulitis are taking their toll. I took yesterday off and had a 3 hour nap. My body needed it. This weekend is pretty laid back–riding lesson Sunday and volunteering at the horse rescue Saturday and Monday. Sunday afternoon is a barbeque with friends and I am making Seven Layer Salad, complete with real bacon and full-fat mayonnaise.
Higgs can be a real pain about other dogs in “her” territory, meaning within her line of sight. I was a little worried when my friend Denise brought her pittie mix Button to my party. Luckily, Button is a bit of a wuss and Higgs contented herself with butt-sniffing, so all was good.
Higgs does OK with my sisters’ dogs - when youngest sis brought her grayhound over, Otto and Higgs chased each other all over the yard. It was a hoot to watch.
Thanks WetOne, I’ll check it out. I think what I’m using now is Arm&Hammer and the whole house smells of kitty litter.
My dog never got along with other dogs, except my mastiff.
I don’t know what his problem is, other than he is just weird. When he was a puppy I took him everywhere with me, and I took him with me when I had dog walking jobs.
He hated it, didn’t want anything to do with the other dogs, and he has never liked going for a walk.
The only other dog he has every liked was my ex-bil’s dog. The two of them would ignore each other and stay in their separate corners. However, you could tell my dog missed him when they left.
Now after he had to deal with the hounds from hell, if another dog comes around he gets so scared all he does is freeze up and whine.
Because the breakfast sandwich I prefer wasn’t available at the grab-n-go rack and it’s not an option on the menu, so I went with quick-n-easy. And I also got a donut for dessert. I really should be eating breakfast at home. I used to, but grabbing on the go is so much simpler and greasier.
Boss has gone till Tues afternoon. I’m almost out of work, and I’m thinking about slipping out a little early today anyway. Not sure what I’ll do on Tues morning. I’ll deal with that then.
Howdy Y’all! Smokeage is finished. All the meat is wrapped up in foil and in pans and is coolin’ on the kitchen counter. Smells sooooooooo gooooooooooood!!! I washed the water and drip pans. The racks and inside of the smoker have been sprayed with grill cleaner. Cleanage may or may not occur today. Depends on how I feel later. I stil need to go to the church house for ice and to make tea but that will be late this afternoon. Dindin shall be grilled sausage 'n pepper dawgs.
Is it weird that I have spent Canada Day gettin’ ready for American Independence Day? Well, actually for tomorrow which is not the Fourth of July but we will eat ribs on Moanday so it kinda counts.
Silly doggio, there ARE other sports you know! Although with all of the GM transplants from Michigan down here, the Preds/Redwings games are always a sellout.
gotti, if you time your trip to Sam’s right, you’ll get lunch from the sample ladies.
Mooooom, there’s no such thing as too much cream cheese!
Once I got the Mexico adjustments made, I knocked off for the weekend. I have to put the crafts together for the heathen children for July and August before I begin dismantling the studio for the move. I will be so glad when this is over already.
