Add a “skills” part to the CV, I’ve had to do that. Pretty annoying since I have to list idiocy such as “setting up Production in coordination with Materials Management” (hint: you can’t make stuff without using stuff, promise) and then I get calls from filterbrains asking me to set up Materials Management, which I don’t do 
But hey, it’s all listed there.
So I was making the rounds of my favorite humor sites and I saw Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal creator Zach Weiner has asked for a direct funding program for his webcomic. It looks like after 2-3 days he’s well on his way to being able to drop advertisement from his site.
I pledged $5 / month myself - I figure I get about that much enjoyment from reading his work.
Nice to see an internet funding system actually function as intended, as advertisement based models are not appropriate for a lot of circumstances.
I have survived Megadeth at the Grande Casa de Rock. Actually it was not bad but I just cant get into that kinda music anymore.
Funny, I might have told you guys that at practice last night we worked up “Africa” by Toto. Well I was all earwormed when I went into work this am and shared this with the Megadeth crew guys. At one point during set up we had four of us singing.

It’s friggin’ cold outside. Something like 23 degrees.
I’m not going outside today and nobody can make me.
The toilet is getting fixed today. My mother wouldn’t let me fix it, said she was calling somebody out to fix. Then she let her bf try to fix it and now it can’t be used at all. That means running downstairs to use the one in the basement. BRRRRRR!!! It’s cold down there.
Which is why I’m up, after running to the basement and sitting on the cold seat I am too awake to fall back asleep.

I’ve always been told there are approximately one hunnert fruitcakes in the world and they keep gettin’ passed around as gifts every Christmas. 
Ok, now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence. At least 'tis Firday.

The weekend came early this week- not in the relaxing way, in the 'working ‘til the ay-emm three days in a row’ way.
It’s all corporate Christmas parties, and they all play the same music and get very drunk. They’re generally not much trouble though, if you don’t count the fact they try and nick anything that isn’t nailed down (who nicks the coathangers from the cloackroom?!), and it’s decent money, so I can’t really complain too much.
The looking for alternatives will start up in earnest in January- not many people try and recruit at this time of year, and I suspect there won’t be much work around then, so I’ll probably have a good sounding reason for quitting or going on the back-up list
Oh, and I like fruitcake. There. I said it.
Finally Lokiday! (I can call it that if I want! Nyeah!) It has been a very boring irk week and I am very much looking forward to the weekend and, further down the road, a nice long holiday vacation.

We are currently at 56 Murkin degrees. I have my under-desk heater on cause my tootsies are cold.
Tonite’s din-din will probably be pizza cause Mr. Anachi has been a good boy all week. Then I’ll watch me some Walking Dead. And go to bed and probably have nightmares.
Grrr. Missed my bus due to delay caused by forgetting my tote bag with wallet, nametag, bus schedule, etc. There is a later one that in theory is supposed to make the necessary connections to get me there on time.
Please note the phrase “in theory”. I was late once this week because I made the mistake of trusting that later bus to get to the train in time, which is not dependable, apparently.
Oh well, looks like I’m driving in today. So nice to have to burn almost a quarter-tank of gas. There is a bright side, though - I won’t have to deal with the elevators at the train station at the far end of the trip. They always smell like someone mistook them for toilets.

Relatively quiet on the irk front. Yay for that. N.O.L. has been et and all is right for now.
And how can he eat anything if he is dead? 
The reindeer died after eatin’ all that. We think the pizza was tainted.
Ok, Ima clear up a few more things here at the irkplace and then I think it shall be time to head to da cave. I have homemade lasagna thawin’ in da fridge that shall be baked for tonight’s dindin. That, a sallit and some cheesey garlic bread will make for a good dindin on a chilly day.
I might even make cookies this weekend.
