It's almost 7AM, why the heck am I starting the MMP

My last cats were named Figaro and Domino. The former also went by Figgy, Miss Figgy and PsychoKitty. The latter, Dom or Nosy. It wasn’t like they actually answered anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

Today’s big chores are wiping out the fridge and cleaning out the car, with a trip to the carwash after.

Our cat Scooter knows her name but will only come when called if it suits her like most normal cats.

Slept like the dead except when I had to wake up to a short sneezing fit. Thought for a minute I may be getting sick but I feel fine now though still tahred.

I have been binge watching Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Dude is very funny.

Happy Sunday everyone.

Cats are:

-Boo, boo-boo kitteh, booby, boobalicious, hellspawn
-Sprite, Sprite-belle, Sweetpea
-Panda, pan-pan, scaredy-cat

They all come to their names or to “Kitten” called in a certain way.

Puppy has finished her romp. She figured out that she could run in a loop through the kitchen, past the staircase, dining room, front door entry way, downstairs hall, through the living room, and repeat. Did a few loops of that, and now she’s having a nice chew on a puppy bone. Nap time shall follow.

Howdy Y’all! Home from dehethenization and we’ve had N.O.L. I ushed this mornin’. When I got there the guy that does the e-newsletter apologized for his mistake. The two of us who were scheduled to ush had our names listed on the announcement sheet as ushers for today so all was good. The service went well and I didn’t trip or drop the alms basin I was holdin’ so I count that as a win.

This afternoon is devoted to sloth, chill, and nappage. ‘Tis hawt out and hyoooooomid. I’m hopin’ for a tstorm and it looks like sump’n could be happenin’ off to the southwest from whence that kind of thing comes usually.

Midget I’m a lot like your cat when it comes to respondin’ to my name. If I am horizontal it’s likely not to happen.

A moment of realization hit me this morning. The hideous furniture we saw yesterday is the type of stuff that would appeal to the people who look at Trump’s tacky, gilded penthouse and think “OOOOOOO, that’s CLASSY!!” Now it makes sense…

All I know is, when I do get around to my dinin’ room remodel, I simply must have this this dinin’ room set!

Iff’n you do, please invite me to your next soirée!

I just woke up from an unsuccessful nap. I’m still tired! I’ve been extra tired all day. I’ve been alternating between slothfulness and working on art. My big show of the year is this coming weekend.

So I’m buying the Volvo wagon from the nice German lady. Funny though, her next door neighbor has the exact same model in the exact same color in the driveway, so I spent 10 minutes nosing around the wrong car.

one of our rescues is named “evil kitty” which is due to temperament and possible mental illness is one of the nicer things she gets called … it wasn’t her original name but she actually comes to it when she feels like it

the kids named most of the cats here …

swampy, that dining room set would have been right at home with the silver living room ensemble!

Early supper has been ingested, since we didn’t bother with lunch. Ribs, Amish corn, Amish 'maters. Chillage shall now ensue.

I told a nap and woke up thinking it was Moanday morning so I rushed into the shower and was complaining about being late again when hubs told me its still Sunday.:smack:

Since I slept away most of the day I best stay up so I can sleep some more tonight.

Now to figure out some dinner.

Just in case the trumps come for lunch?

Wifey and some of her painterly friends are going off somewhere to paint this afternoon and she wants me to go with. I guess I’ll go and see if I have any talent left.

I had a cat once, about 40 years ago. It was a manx, but I don’t remember it’s name. I found it in the middle of the road when it was a tiny kitten and I couldn’t leave it there to get run over. At the time I found it my then-wife’s bitch had just had a litter of puppies and we raised the cat with them, so it thought it was a dog. We had it for a couple of years and then it disappeared. It was a better cat than any of the others my then-wife had over the years.

OYKW is havin’ a tub bath. I dragged the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trash can all the way down to the road for pickup tomorrow. I think shortly I shall go lie upon the bed to watch teevee until sleepy time. Sounds like a solid plan to me.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

I’ve made some braids for Butters and as soon as the yarn she sent gets here, I’ll commence to wiggin’! There’s gonna be some fine punkins in Key West in October.

So you’re planning meal service in your brothel swampy?

Yay on the car doggio!

nightshadea (I don’t recall your mumper name), that’s why Figaro got called PsychoKitty. :stuck_out_tongue:

I got the chores on the list done this afternoon. Now, I’m taking a break from supper prep (dal stuffed eggplant and Indian fried cabbage with naan). Chillage shall ensue after supper.

 That could be embarrassing. :o

Took Little Miss to her first puppy play time. She and the other puppies all hid from each other. Apparently this is common. After all the time at home she has spent trying to play with the cats, the dogs, the fish, the lint, I was expecting excitement, but no. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m back to Raven as a name. Almost certain. Almost.

'Beamer wants to know why he can’t play video games all day. Because is why. Because we’ve talked about this every day for years and you know the answer. sigh

Moooommm i mailed it on Firday, it was priority but the holiday may slow down the mail. Technically you should get it on Moanday but may be Wednesday. I was really surprised how much stuff costs to mail these days. I kept the receipt as it comes with insurance. Hopefully it will get there though.

I cleaned the kitchen and scrounged some food. This has been a weird weekend as I don’t usually irk on Sat. I will irk tomorrow becasue of deadlines but if I can manage to get enough done I may try to take off on Wed too. Of course, it will depend on if the hoards of tourons go home or keep coming. Historically July has been one of our biggest money months. I am going to be in a use or lose situation if I can’t start taking off here and there. I have to do some interviews I am thinking next week since I already have a full plate this week.

Congrats on new car Doggiooo. Volvo should last forever.

Well, I won’t be getting that dachshund from Nebraska. Given what I said about my living conditions, and how/where I would exercise him, they said that they didn’t think he’d fit. They suggested another dog, but that one was even older than the one I’d been looking at, so I turned them down.

I’d gone to the shelter today but there were few small dogs. And I’ve been scanning the FREE ads in the paper, nothing there.

Sigh, :frowning:

There’s going to be some other dog out there for me. Next week I’m taking my mom’s cat to the vet for a checkup, and she uses the same vet I do. I’ll ask if they’ve heard of any small dogs in need. What’s been making this hard is that I so much want another dachshund, and they are harder to find.

**Butters **- I sent a package cross country and they didn’t ask me how I wanted it to go - they just assumed priority! And yeah, it was stupid expensive. On the other hand, it went right to the door of the recipient in 2 days.

We just ate the last of our ice cream - guess I’ll need to run by the store tomorrow. We’re going to my mom’s tomorrow to visit my sis and maybe take a dip in the pool. **FCD **needs to not do any physical labor for a day. And Mom has a load of yarn from AARP, so I’ll be afghanin’ as soon as I’m done wiggin’!

Went to the convent and had dinner out at Applebee’s ------- came home and signed up for a double tomorrow. :smack: I blame it on the beer I had with dinner.
