The sky has just opened - yay for rain!!
Sari, I was thinking the same as Spidey about shirts. I bet he has quite a wardrobe of race shirts…
Today’s news involves RT back on the road again and possibly the worst haircut that I’ve ever had. I went in with a picture of what was looking for. I came out looking like she’d taken a weedwhacker to my head. I’m not even exaggerating. I wanted shorter hair, but this is ridiculous. I mean, if you don’t know how to cut curly hair, then you should just say so up front.
I think you do a modified pom-pom (loops and then cut). Possibly you could do crochet with long loops to keep a flat base, as long as knot off the loops so they don’t unravel when you cut them.
One kid hates “Raven” and “Athena.” One kid hates “Ilsa”, “Anya”, and “Cedar”. I’m about to name her something everyone hates just to spread it around evenly.
She’s asleep on my shoes right now. ![]()
mooooom, would six inches of double crochet, then fringe out the top work?
I got quite a bit done around the house today. The good noodle house fixed supper (Thai basil stir fry and fried dumplings). Chill time.
sticky, I’m with you on the stylist thing. I drive 30 miles to the one who does it well.
Since we were home we took down most of the rest of the neighbors tree that has been hurting our house ---- with his permission of course. He’s a pretty good neighbor. Not the abandoned house side; the other side. Anyway we got it to basically 14 feet of the main trunk. Because of weight I may have the neighbor round up a couple friends and then drop that. And get rid of the wood since its ornamental and not good for smoking.
Hockey Prospect scrimmage rocked. Came home and did laundry. Tried making Fireball Margaritas. Good but I’d reverse the amounts of tequila and Fireball. Dinner is Baked Fried Chicken with paprika N.O.T. wedges. Tomorrow I’m gonna check out a Volvo wagon*.
Sunny, If the rugrats can’t agree, name her Helga.
*[Jeff Foxworthy]If you think a Volvo is part of a woman’s anatomy, you might be redneck.[/Jeff Foxworthy]
Bus stop chic at its finest. Just what every home needs. ![]()
At the risk of jinxing myself (if I believed in jinxing myself) I just had a second in a row good sleep! Sans Mel!! It was nearly 6AM when consciousness prevailed! YAY!!
Critters have had their morning routine, and I loaded and started the dishwasher. We had a substantial thunderboomer move thru last night - the driveway puddle is pretty full. **FCD **said last night that he wants to move the table, etc, today, so I guess that’s the plan.
Happy Sunday!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 75 Amurrkin out and N.O.S. with a predicted high of 90 and possible afternoon rain/tstorms/apocalypse. We shall see. The big plan today is to deheathenate. Accordin’ to the monthly schedule I’m scheduled to ush today. Accordin’ to the weekly e-newsletter, I am not scheduled to ush today. Next Sunday we are plannin’ on takin’ a drive up to Columbus, Jawja to see a friend’s grand daughter we have yet to have a chance to see so I had said I’m not available then. If’n somebody has messed up and my name appears for duty next Sunday then I will say, somebody needs to do it instead of me but I am not responsible for who since I didn’t screw up. I think that’s only fair. Other than deheathenate, we shall N.O.L. on leftovers. Sloth shall take up the afternoon.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then purtification for deheathenization must commence.
Happy Sunday Y’all!
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. I’m off today.
Happy Sunday!
It’s a N.O.S. 79 degrees outside. Supposed to go up to 90.
The boat is GONE!
On major thing crossed off the list!
Nothing special going on today, SSDD
Back from breakfast and I just finished cleaning the critters’ fountain. **FCD **is in the basement readying the table to be moved - I’m about to take the cart down there to load up. Here’s hoping neither of us gets hurt…
Swampy sounds fair to me.
Yay for boat being gone, Sari!
Today we shall be possibly seeing a movie, doing some laundry, and taking the puppy to a puppy playtime at the PetCo. Still no name… the sage continues.
We all know how good I am at naming creatures.
Took me forever to name Adam, and I still call him Cat most of the time.
The work table is now in the shed, the tool box is in the basement, and I filled the tires on the cart, then put the mower and cart away. It sure was nice having ol’ Johnny D to haul the cart back and forth!
And, as usual, I drew blood. When we were lifting down the top part of the tool box, I managed to cut the side of my left thumb. Luckily, I saw it and I think I kept the blood off my clothes, so there’s that.
Chillage time. Then, I think, Netflix. It’s just too hot to do any outside labor, as far as I’m concerned. Supposedly only 86°, but it definitely feels hotter. ugh. I wish my mom lived closer - I could go for a dip in the pool…
Most cats don’t respond anyways. Alex Catt being an exception.
Taz knows his name - he’ll look at me when I say it. He won’t necessarily do what I want him to do, but, yeah, cat.
And he gets called Taz, Taz-a-rama-ding-dong, Tazburger, Tazzer, Asshole…
Ziva is usually called Baby Girl or Pretty Girl, but the only thing she responds to is the container of kitteh treats - both of them LOVE Tempations, or as I call it Kitteh Crack.
My cat knows her name, but only comes when called if she’s already up and walking around. She doesn’t bother getting up if you call her while she’s lying down.
I believe I mentioned that my cat smokes cigarettes, drinks beer, and mutters, “When you die, this couch will be mine.”
