Im going to bump this just in time for the new ep, and raise a point about one of the reasons this show is so wonderful.
I just rewatched the Dennis Reynolds : An Erotic Memoir episode, and noticed something hilarious I didnt catch the first time.
When Dennis wakes up in the rehab center with Sinbad, we see his stigmata scars. It appears to me that one hand has been pierced with a nail and the other has a very large burn in the center. Previously, Frank and Mac had argued about the best way to give Dennis the scars; Frank lobbying for the nail gun, Mac for the cigar.
It turns out, they both got to do one hand their own way. This is amazing because it is never mentioned by any of the characters in the show; if you didn’t catch it, you missed out a a great joke. Of course Mac and Frank would just agree to each take a hand! Brilliant.
The writers did the same type of thing in the Who Pooped The Bed episode. When Artemis is doing her Ms Marple shtick, there is a map behind her with pushpins and strings connecting them stuck into it. They never explain wtf the map would be for, and it’s ten times funnier that way.
Did anyone else catch this, or any other instances like them?
