I made the unwise move of drinking with some friends last night (Friday night) at a little open-air Thai-style drinking area. It was HOT, even after midnight. We were there instead of an air-con place because (at least) one of the guys did not want to go to a bar because he (or they) had too many ex-girlfriends working in the bars and he was trying to avoid them. Why we couldn’t go to a normal place that didn’t have bargirls I don’t know, but I was a minority of one. So I sweated it out until they closed at 1am, then I toddled off to Patpong and some air-conditioning. It is HOT even in the wee hours now.
