It's freezonious in the MMP

I actually kind of like my job and the people on my immediate team… but trying to get the time of day from engineering makes me go home angry.

I shouldn’t say I hate my job. I like what I do. I hate the organization and its ineptitude. Morons.

Speaking as a boss, get back to work.:p;)

Been there, done thatr.

Finished my am shift and took a nap.

Ripple thanks y’all for the well wishes and scritches.
He is being a wild man today. Trying to keep him quiet is like trying to contain a tornado. Along with the pain pills the vet should have given him some sedatives.
Should have sent a few for me too.
I didn’t get him a cone of shame and so far he is being pretty good about leaving his stitches alone.

Today’s lesson is heavy metal. I’m not sure how Alice Cooper got in there.

This is going to be a problem…

Half of my stuff is missing. They think they found it. Maybe. Probably. Tomorrow? Probably. The movers must think I am nuts, the way I keep changing the dates. (Shipping company and movers are different.)

Happy Tuesday.

Ditto from Da Jungle.

You’re underlings think their boss is a moron? :o
It’s my ‘boss’ I could do w/o.

I like my boss. I admire her and her ethics. I like my cow-irker. I have no idea if the person who reports to me likes me. Probably not. I’m her new boss. Her old boss had her position eliminated (I had nothing to do with that).

In order to make myself feel better, I ordered the Eeyore stuffie from the movie “Christopher Robin.” I paid too much and I don’t care. I need to hug Eeyore.

Rain started about 8am and is still coming down, not a heavy rain but a good, steady water flow that will do the lawn good.

Nice thing about being retired is no boss to complain about (that’s also a problem, since I’m the only one to blame now).

Sunny, be sure to document every nick and scratch; moving is such fun.

Actually did some home-cleaning today, still need to shave before the day is out (can sometimes go 2-3 days before shaving). Need to go out and get some bread in a bit.

Back from the neverending weekly meeting. Picked up the new rim and will let hubby deal with the mounting of the tire.

Home - supper will be uninspired Hamburger Helper because I’s tahred and don’t feel like dealing with cooking.

I need some inspired hamburger helper, anybody got any?

We went to the (mayoral) candidates debate at city club for lunch. The food was okay, if uninspired. So were the speeches. A friend of ours is one of the candidates, so we already had our minds made up. Plus he’s the best person for the job. Not just because we like him, but we know how competent he is.

So now I’m at loose ends for the rest of the day. I want to mow the lawn, but I’d rather do that tomorrow when I can take as much time as I like.

Probably I should go get my flu shot. I woulda gotten one already but I caught my usual fall cold that I get right about the time the vaccine shows up and they don’t want to give people a shot when they’re already sick. :dubious:

If you haven’t already, y’all should go look at Sunny’s puppy thread, with pictures!

Happy Toosday!

We have supped. I laundered, folded stuff and put it where it lives until used. Plus I made supped. Adultin’ is over for the day.

Doc Howdy neighbor! I trust Michael did not pay you a visit?

ruble, the last I was at their downtown location, Boswell’s HD of Nashville https://www.boswellsharley.com/ had one in their lobby.

Juliet, I get along well with most of our engineers. They all get that I’m a numbers person too. Besides that, I do their inventory adjustments so that they can maintain accuracy and keep a good bonus.

I’m beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel for what began as a blizzard of counts from an area that is usually in good shape. I have a feeling that when their lead comes back from vacation, there will be butts chewed. :stuck_out_tongue:

I turned the heat on this afternoon. We’re getting November weather a month early. It was in the forties when I left for irk this morning and it was only fifty when I came home. I’m ready for spring.

Supper here is leftover from yesterday.

Thank God today is almost over.

Hamburger, onion, ketchup, hot sauce.

An easy favorite.

A really nice moment today: my daughter is in her first semester of college (while still technically in high school - skipping 12th grade). She had psychology today and when she got home she was telling me all about early learned behaviors and how punishment can really screw up a kid. Especially if one is prone to yelling.

Jokingly I asked her, given what she’s learning, how bad did I screw up?

One bear hug later I heard “Not at all, I always felt safe with you.”

I think I will remember today for the rest of my life.

Nice ride on Ariel after work. She makes all my craziness disappear.

2gig, that memory is a keeper. Ya done good, Dad.

wet one, glad riding a horse helps the ol’blood pressure.

FCM, I still have memories of Cheeseburger Macaroni Hamburger Helper (won’t say if they’re fond memories or not…)

Bumba, maybe we should call you Mrs. Robinson? (old music joke by old person)

Got an extortion e-mail today; this one knew one of my passwords, which was disconcerting (to say the least) and threatened to send "explicit’ videos to my friends. I Googled and found this was probably a result of some of the better known hacks in the past, but I changed up a couple of passwords (I use a lot of different ones, but some are repeaters) and trash-canned it. Wouldn’t know how to get $7,000 in bitcoin anyway…

Dinner has been consumed, rain is continuing, and the temperature is down to 56F. Haven’t turned the heat on yet, red, but it’s getting closer…

2gig, you raised a sweet daughter.

The nice thing with Bill is the deals; sometimes. Sometimes not. I have known him to over-price things now and then. But I did score a Z-90 Aeramacchi-HD N-OS and still in the original crate for $1500.

It now sits in a place of honor in my one cousin’s living-room. Her husband approves in our interior decorating ideas.
