Howdy Y’all! Majik intartoobz pizza has been ingested and chillage ensues. All is calm and quiet in da cave.
CupCakes YAY! Looks like she will be a great Bishop.
I should have bought lottery tickets. OK, I still could, but that would mean drivin’ a whole half mile to the sto’ and would also mean puttin’ on goin’ outside pants. Just way too much trouble!
sari, the doggy day care that I’ve taken Nelson charges $20 a day for one and $33 for two. They have a nice play yard, are clean and have a good staff. It’s like a mini vacation for him.
I knocked off at noon today, swung through Aldi, Sprouts and Kroger, came home and took Nelson to the dog park. Popeye fixed supper.
Red - the daycare here is $25 for one day but there is a package where I can get 20 visits for $245. No time limit on when I have to use them, so at one day a week it would last for quite a while. I think it will work nicely for days I have to go somewhere.
He goes Halloween Wednesday for his first visit.
We’ll see how he does. The woman I talked to has a shar pei mix and she knows how they are, so that makes me feel better. So many places groan when you say shar pei.
Ripple doesn’t snort and choke and gurgle and rumble like Mackie did. I had a horrible time with Mackie because people thought he was growling and I’d say no, he’s just breathing. Mackie could have done the sound effects for the Tasmanian Devil. Ripple hardly even snores.
Now that he is neutered and has his shots I think we will try the dog park. My biggest fear there is he is going to run around the dog yard and not let me catch him. Everybody will be going home, the park will be closing, I will be standing there leash in hand, and he will still be running around saying catch me if you can. Probably not, because he always comes when called, but you never know.
All normal puppy stuff as you know. Can’t hurt to socialize him a bit. It will give him something to do instead of miss Mama.
We had take in from the real good place. Hubby had the fish/scallops special and I had my old standby chicken because Louie loves it so much. The things we do for our pets.
One half day tomorrow then off until Tuesday. Yoo Hoo. New hire is being inductrinated on Moanday and hopefully can start to irk next week. Her full time job is a records person for the city police dept so her clearance may go faster. But, I can go ahead and start training her pending background check. I am so excited to be getting fully staffed for the first time in a couple years.
I really need to clean out my closets so am hoping I get motivated enough to at least start. Out of sight, out of mind.
sari, I worried about that initially, but Nelson wonders over to give kisses or get skritched periodically and, if all else fails, I keep a zippie of his favorite treats in teh dog park bag to lure him. When you start going to the park, a really good investment will be a silicon, collapsible bowl. Our dog park turns the fountains off in the winter, so I carry two stainless steel bottles of water (one for him, one for me) with us and a toy for when there’s nobody else there to play with. Even then, he likes being outside off leash.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. I was a slugabed this mornin’. 'Tis 68 Amurrkin out and foggy with a predicted high of 85 and rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon so say TWPTB. We shall see. No items on the agenda for today. OYKW is still asleep. We may or may not go out for N.O.L. Burgers 'n chips shall be supped upon.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, well, we shall see what the day holds forth.
And I’m up. I decided I should let Higgs out about 7:30, and since then, I’ve breakfasted and started caffeinating. I also saw where the MegaMillions rolled over to $1.6 BILLION!!! Holy Crap on a Gigantic Cracker!!!
I remember when we lived in FL and the lotto there got over $50 million - people were taking out second mortgages to buy tickets! Goodness knows what some folks will be doing now… I’ll get 5 more tickets, just because I can afford $10 for a chance, but that’s my limit.
Incidentally, I had 2 number on one of my 5 tickets - you don’t get anything for 2 numbers. Dammit.
Stopped raining, and looks like the sun is trying to come out.
We might get some yard work done today afterall.
I brought in the clothes I forgot last night. Since they were on the deck they didn’t get wet.
Yanno, a certain Abalama Mumper recently had major renovations in their house, during which time it was tough to do laundry, cook, or bathe. Coinky-dink? :o
Okay, I is in the lottery*. Cost me €10 to enter, & if I’m lucky enough to win it’ll cost me a lot more.
Freezonious is a Great word and I like it a lot. Too bad I will never be able to use it in regards to our hot ass weather.
I was a tad lazy this morning and barely made it to irk on time but new girl was already here. It is gonna be slow today I have a feeling. The annual debauch known as Fantasy Fest starts today so no one will be wanting to buy tickets as everyone in town is here for that.
I have laundry to do and a dog to bathe when I get home today. Happy Weekend all!
Up, caffeinating, breakfasting, a load of towels in the wash and the puppy crate cleaned. We’re getting a little rain right now. That means that I won’t put some top soil down and do fall plantings. However, tomorrow, I may take a ride out US70N. Nice lazy curves and hills.
We decided to McBreak Fast. Since we were close to it, we went into the Harvey’s sto. Bought two rotissed chikins which shall be turned into chikin sallit. Berled aigs are coolin’ as I post. Also gonna make some pimento cheese cause, why not. So we shall sup upon those and do burgers tomorrow. We are all willy-nilly!
I can’t find the charger for my eletric toothbrush. It should be in the box with all the other attachments, but it’s not there.
I got my voter information yesterday and applied for an absentee ballot today. My son is on his own this year, I’m too irritable to fill out two applications.
We keep getting tons of mail in his name with information about the candidates. I get nothing. Maybe they heard of my policy of if you bother me I won’t vote for you.
Don’t call me, don’t text me, don’t send me mail, there is more than enough information out there, I don’t need it shoved at me.
Get off my lawn while you’re at it.
I ran to Aldi’s to get butter and bread. $50-ish dollars later I got out of there. But I got stuff we needed, including a mix for Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuits! YUMMMMMMM! And I got some canned punkin for future pies. And I built a meatloaf for the oven and I stopped at the Amish stand and got some sweet N.O.T.s.
Roxy caught her mommy’s cold - mostly just a snotty nose, but the poor kid isn’t sleeping well, so neither is mommy.
Second load in the washer, first in the dryer. I don’t expect to get a whole lot more done today.
We got 6, or maybe 7, robocalls yesterday about “using any of your apple device we strongly advise you to talk to a support adviser…” I have no idea what the first part of the message was 'cause it played underneath our outgoing greeting. Also, the woman sounded like she had a mouth full of mush. :dubious:
It depresses me to think that people fall for this obvious garbage, and then I think about who’s ‘in charge’ in washington and how they got there, and I get even more depressed.
Oh, I signed up for national geographic’s DNA test thingee. Soon I may find out if I’m human or not. I’m hoping not.
So nobody won the big lottery? Maybe I’ll buy a ticket. It’s cheap entertainment. I’ve spent more money for less fun.
They say (on TV, so it must be true) that you’re 80 times more likely to be killed by a shark than you are to win.
So happy sattiday, y’all. I need to find something cheery to do.
