My son, currently a dorm-denizen at college and therefore catless, dreams of the day when he can have his own cat. He plans to name it Schismogenesis (why yes, he’s nerdy, why do you ask?). I like it, because it lends itself to so many nicknames - skitzy, skizmo, mo, jenny, sissy, and probably others.
So a mom cat could be Schismogenesis and the offspring could have names deriving from that. Dignified variants like Maurice and Jennifer are completely acceptable, of course.

Or riff on all things ginger: Snap, Chew, Ale, Beer, Bread, Pickle, Curry, Beef, Spice and, for the odd one out, Mary Ann.
