It's Moanday Somewhere - A MMP

I have been dealing with a real jackass of a merchant through Amazon. We’ve all been emailing back and forth now for a week or two. I see a pitting coming on if they don’t get their act together.

I need to get to work with the fork stuff tonight but I keep getting delayed.

My funnest (not) delay was the one where I accidentally dumped about 1/2 lb of stainless steel shot down the garbage disposal. That was fun getting it out!

I am getting the sense I may be farther west. Hmm.

Had a migraine, so I hid in bed. Kids had camp, so that worked. They really, really enjoyed their first day, so that was VERY good. Kid 2 has trouble with change ( more on that in due course I imagine), so I am doing a very quiet happy dance inside my hed.

My parents are back from 4 weeks in Alaska, so today I return my extra dog. She is very sweet, but they want her back. She the littlest (at 35 pounds or so) and smartest of the pack in residence. My others are giant, but, er, giant.

And the DH is back tonight from France - YAY!

Now must off to retrieve kidlets.

See, migraine for a reason - too much goin’ on chez Sunny.

FCM - the teriyaki pulled pork sounded yummy, but my hubby would agree on the BBQ.

**Sunny **- my spousal unit liked the teriyaki poke, but then he put hot BBQ sauce on it - he eats weird stuff. And you may be farther west than what? I know you’re west of me.

It’s raining - huzzah!!!

That’s all I’ve got. It’s time to resume the knit position - I’ve got about 3 more inches and the shawl will be done. Off I go!

MWAH!!***

It’s Wednesday, which makes it Market Day!

Dinner is Amish barbecue chicken, brown rice, tomatoes, unwashed hippie squash (like regular squash but grown on our local college’s farm by unwashed hippies), and angel food cake.

I went to the market with $20 in my pocket. The chicken costs $9. I spent all but $8.75, so I ran home for some quarters. I went back to the market, reached in my pocket, and… no $8.75. Ran home again for the $8.75. By this time, I was vowing that the chicken would be mine. Third time’s the charm; I had the money, which I gladly exchanged for the chicken. And it was awesome.

I’s still tahrd.

Proletariat quisine.

Safely home from the torture chamber, er, dental office. Work today included multiple extractions, which proved unusually challenging for the dentist, since my roots are unusually long and apparently interesting shapes into the bargain. We managed. I’m on antibiotics for the next 10 days (3x/day), with Norco for pain (I don’t intend to take as much as directed, since I tend to react more strongly to such meds than normal. About half the usual dose is usually quite sufficient for me).

Taking tomorrow off as a recuperation day, since my supervisor was kind enough to deem that a reasonable request. Liquids, no straws, and very soft stuff for a few days. I’m well stocked with meal replacement shakes, ice cream, and applesauce ready to go, plus pudding mix and instant mashed potatoes (and gravy mix) in the pantry needing prep.

I’ve been told I probably won’t swell up too much, but might have some minor facial bruising. I can deal. Getting used to the artificial dentition now in my mouth.

I probably do NOT want to know why my husband is cursing at his computer.

Da bear has had adventure! After dindin we went to see our friend Jim in the horsepistol. OYKW is stayin’ at his place so we took separate vehicles. His plan was to pop in for a few minutes and leave, which he did. My plan was to stay a few more minutes then leave. The hospital’s plan was for a power failure which happened. A planned no more than thirty minute visit turned into an hour and a half visit. Not complainin’ though. Jim was sittin’ in a chair tonight for the first time since he’s been in rehab (physical rehab) and feelin’ pretty good so we had a nice long chat.

Also, when I got back to da cave I was met with flashin’ clocks and “RESET” lights on the stove and microwave. Thus, a power failure also happened here as well. Weird. No storms nearby although it looks stormy toward the west right now.

Sunny glad the migraine is all better.

MOOOOOOM I am not a fan of teriyaki anything.

Oh and we shall be in possession of Mennonite lady cake Firday. YAY!

Very soon I shall retire for the evenin’. Da bear is tahrd.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

I need to make a list of things to do tomorrow. Like washing my clothes, going to the bank, and having stuff printed out at the print shop. I guess I’m posting this here to remind myself or something.

::sigh::

I don’t know what to do. Decisions suck, especially when my decision goes against what everybody else thinks I should be doing.

Jesus Christ, you have no idea how I read that until I saw “RESET”.

I’d tell anyone who is not directly involved in your decision (e.g., anyone other than your son, most likely) that their input is not needed or wanted, that it is YOUR life, and that you are an intelligent adult quite capable of managing her own life.

Amen, Brother!
Sister.

FCM - I meant farther west than most of the MMP. Everyone’s talkin’ dindin, when I’m midway through my day, but I see that’s not the case. I’ll blame my headache for not noticing. yep. I’ll go with that. May we see pictures of the knitting?

Good mornin’ y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 71 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 90 for the day and rain this afternoon accordin’ to the weather PTB. We shall see.

Sair, what Nettie said.

Midget don’t forget to…

** wash your clothes, go to the bank, and have stuff printed out at the print shop.**

I live to help.

Ok, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

**flytrap **- “quisine”?? Y’alls make up your own words down there?? :stuck_out_tongue:

**swampy **- chicken teriyaki is pretty good, and poke teriyaki is also tasty, but I guess psychologically, I expect something else when I have pulled poke.

**sari **- the appropriate response is “Thank you for your input” - you may follow that (under your breath) with “Now go away.” As has been said - opinions are like buttholes - everyone has one and they all stink!

**Sunny **- **Taters **and Yeller are both left coasters. There were others but some have deserted our little playpen, alas. Oh, and I could easily bore you to tears with pics of my knitting, but when I get this latest batch laundered and ready to pack up, I’ll snap a shot or two. I don’t know how long you’ve been following the MMP, but I make items that are distributed by my mother’s AARP chapter to nursing homes, veterans’ homes, and a food pantry. So I’ve always got projects going. The current pile includes 2 afghans, 4 or 5 shawls, some hats and some scarves. It gives me something to do while watching TV, and I like making things that I know will be used.

And my niece just got engaged, so I’ll be making her a wedding afghan. I may be nice and let her pick out a pattern herself.

Higgs has been dealt with, I’ve breakfasted, and I’m caffeinating. Among today’s chores are readying the guest room, including fresh linens, clearing my craft stuff from the dining room table so we can dine there, altho I won’t put a tablecloth on until right before we eat, since Ziva likes to lounge there, and I’ll probably run the vacuum cleaner for giggles. We’re going to the gym, and afterwards, I’ve got to get some groceries to feed us all this weekend. So, busy, busy!

Happy Thursday! Send chocolate - I’m going to need to boost!

Up, caffeinated, off to work. Got out of work late last night due to customer issues(note to pharmacy tech: f you call the psycho hell beast a psycho hell beast to her face, she will crank it to 11:smack:)

Midget, your list reminded me of this.

Apparently, y’all do, too.

BLURF. Slept in a SMIDGE this morning but must get ready for irk.

All is well that ends well re irk. I had a safety inspection in my bldg this week. I take it very seriously as I do most things regarding my job. So this committee, all volunteer, come around and check everything and interview all employees. I thought it went very well. The report comes back with 14 minor discrepancies stuff like “cabinets are used for storage”. I was pissed. They could not find any legitimate safety concerns so they said shit like “Too many safety and training records on hand”. Huh?

So I had a damn fit and was so upset.

The next morning I get to irk to an email from my boss and his boss saying “Great Job”. :smack:

Happy Thorsday!

You know what sux? Typing out a post and having your computer decide that it needs to run an update RIGHT NOW!

So it’s a muggy 72 degrees, my window is open but I will be closing it soon.

Thanks for the support** Nettie, Flytrap Swampy and FCM**
Unfortunately in this case their opinion does count. I want to put an offer in on the cistern house and the realtor and mortgage broker think I will be wasting my time. I’ve done research and HUD will give waivers and this house meets all the requirements for a waiver but it is another hoop to jump through and there is no guarantee.
Well I don’t have to do it today, although the realtor is going out of town tomorrow through Sunday so if I don’t do it today it will have to wait until Monday.
