It's Moanday Somewhere - A MMP

Mama Plant is ill.
May I borrow $20.00?

I need $13 for some, um, personal supplies.

Evenin’ all!

Has a fairly busy day, mostly doing bee things- had a training session, followed by a BBQ. I’m sure some of you wouldn’t deign to use the name to describe what we et, but it’s how we do it, so it’s cultural and fine.

Also managed to squeeze some shopping in, as I had to go near the good spice shop anyway, and get some labels so’s I can tell the gooseberry jam from the spicy chutney I think I shall also make. One would not want to mix those up.

Ai think ai shall have an early night tonight, as I’s had a busy day, and everyone else appears to be out, so the house is all quiet for once. G’night!

Finally got my butt in gear and got some stuff done.

I don’t know what to do with Sah-dog’s bed. It’s falling apart and needs to be washed. I’ve bought new beds for him and he isn’t interested.
I have an old mattress pad I’m not using. Maybe I can make the switch. Either that or cut up some old sweatpants and stitch them up into some kind of rectangle. He likes to lay on my clothes anyway, he’s always pulling them out of the laundry basket.

I’m getting hungry, I don’t know what’s for dinner. Nothing sounds good.

Well, that was odd. I got a call on my landline. I answered (duh!) and the person on the other end said:

“I wuz wonderin’ if I still had a credit aginst muh phone.”

Aside from the fact that I have no idea, I cannot parse that sentence. I wonder what store she was callin’. This is a new one on me. Usually my wrong numbers are either Papa John’s or Shoe Station.

In other news, I was outside a little bit ago and the sounds I heard were thunder and a chainsaw. Very interestin’ combo there.

I did my laundry an hour ago. I’m strangely productive for a Saturday afternoon. :dubious: Perhaps I am ill.

Wish I had a ceemint pond and a swimsuit.

Rosie’s sig

Neither one of us had any dindin tonight. I had already declared tonight to be forage night. Even weirder, there’s homemade German chawklit cake and neither of us has touched that.

It’s like an episode of The Twilight Zone!

Supper was rotissed chickie, steamed Amish corn, sliced Amish 'maters, and N.O.T.s-n-onions. yum!

swampy, daughter’s wedding cake came from Public - it was really good, when it finally got to us. We’d ordered it a week ahead and when we went to pick it up, no one knew anything about it! They did put it together, then brought it to the hall, and when I wrote to complain about the lost order, they refunded the entire amount plus sent me a $25 gift card. That was nice of them, but since I didn’t live in FL, I gave it to my inlaws…

Knittage soon, ice cream later. MWAH!!

I made the decision to give Sah-dog the old mattress pad without folding it into a square and stitching it together.
I threw it on the floor and he sniffed it and dragged it around, flattened it, pawed it, circled around on it and then went to sleep on the floor.

I’ll be right over.

I’d go for the cement pond in the woods where I used to live. Swimsuits optional, hell, she is MRSPlant v.3.0.

While I was working at the Library, Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) did to for a while, but I digress, an elderly woman called the break room asking for the Safeway meat department.
Three times.
At the fourth, I answered, “Simmons Mortuary. This is Mister Crump speaking.” in a sonorous voice. She replied, “Oh, I am so sorry!” and did not call back.

At Mama Plant’s house, a cute sounding little Black girl called, asking for DeWalt at the Pizza Hut.
Three times I told her this was not a Pizza Hut.
Four seems to be my magic number.
At the fourth call, I said, “He left with the White girl in a red Corvette.”

Feeling rather guilty, at the fifth call, I assured her that this was not a Pizza Hut, and I was messing with her.
I have never heard a more happy voice in my life.

Spidey - I am willing to attempt these frozen concoctions. Clearly my experience has been overly narrow. :stuck_out_tongue:

I was off to make ribs on the BBQ and play in the cement pond with the replicants, but I think the ribs will be for tomorrow. So, off to examine the fridge. Wings perhaps? Happy weekend-ing

Wedding was fun. But when there’s free beer, when isn’t it.

Is this a good or bad move, doggio (not as if you have a choice, but still)… Are you looking forward to working at the other store?

I am so, so tired. I had day one of a show today and it went really well. The local paper came through and interviewed people including me, but I didn’t make the cut. However, being inspired by possibly being in the paper, I made a few more sculptures tonight and even updated my website. All in all, it wasn’t bad.

I’m currently watching Midsomer Murders and when the current episode is over, I’m going to bed.

Fireworks still! Come on folks the 4th is over.

Well I’m going back to the home store. If I would have gotten the promotion, if nothing else it was half the distance , so that would be like a raise in in of its self.

And yay for being interviewed, and being motivated to build the business!

Why do you hate America?

Fireworks here tonight too. Problem is we’re a bit flammable. Drought, people, drought! That and the dog hides under the bed. Po’ dog. Just can’t get past his hate of America.
