Finally had a Monday when I didn’t freeze my butt off at work. They had the temperature set to counter the temperatures of last Friday (thru Sunday) and the warm weather rolled in. Wheee. Let’s all sweat. It’s 20F outside!

It’s warmer this morning than yesterday, thank goodness for that. Not above freezing -yet-, but it’s supposed to be headed that way. Tomorrow’s precipitation will probably be mostly rain–yay for that.
I gotta get ready to head out the door to work. Have a good Tuesday all, and after today - three more days!

Finally talked to my uncle who talked to Mom yesterday and is going to visit today. Also got her correct cell number, but she either has it turned off or the battery isn’t charged (she charged it during the day, but who knows if it was actually fully charged; she’s not real cell-phone friendly). It’s still not clear when she’s going to have electricity again.

Unfortunately, I actually have to teach today. Grumble. Grumble.
OK. Darnination, then. And I miscounted: if I have to send one copy per authorization, but not per server, it’s 140. If I need one copy per authorization and server, it goes up to 840. Ugh!
I hope you can reach your Mom soon. Is it your fault if she doesn’t have the phone charged? Mine tried to pull that on Middlebro once, it didn’t go down well for some reason.

I made caramelized onion mac & cheese with smoked paprika on top for dinner last night. It was good.

This weeks trip is cancelled. I got the call at 9.30 last night my flight out was cancelled due to fog. Then another saying they had re-routed me. Then another from customer service that they couldn’t ticket it because I was checked in on another airline and I needed to cancel it - put me through to the other airline they couldn’t do it as I had originated the check on on another airline. Hung up. Called United back got through to a very helpful lady who sorted it out for me. Then at 11:45PM had another phone call (I was fast asleep at this point) from United asking me about my flight from another airport tomorrow…I said I wasn’t flying from that airport he insisted I was I had to tell him no I wasn’t - well aren’t you Mrs So-And-So I said no I am not and I am not flying from that airport. Oh was the reply and they hung up. Then this morning I ended up having to cancel the whole trip as by the time I got to Houston on the revised itinerary (which got changed overnight from what the nice lady and I had talked about) I missed my meeting. Cancelling this morning involved a total hold time of 82 mins between corporate travel and the airline. :mad:

It wasn’t a big problem. The power was only out for a couple of hours.
This is not the first time this has happened. It’s less of a problem now because there are people living next door - if it’s the breaker on their side, there’s somebody there to reset it. It was more annoying when that half of the house was vacant and I had to call the landlord to come over (especially because my phone runs through my interent connection so no power means I lose my phone as well).
Right. I didn’t know the power was out, I was just being a bad MMPer. I’m fine. Sleepy, though. Naptime!
Spent most of yesterday worried that my co-worker’s husband might have been one of the cops killed here. Thankfully, he was on paternity leave with her and their new baby. In case I never updated y’all, this was the co-worker that was thought to have ovarian cancer while pregnant but everything turned out okay though she lost an ovary, she had her baby girl last week.
As it turns out though, I’m pretty sure I’ve met one of the cops that was killed. He looked very familiar, I think he’s brought us a couple stray dogs and came in with another K-9 officer that had to bring his dog in for treatment.
