Yer makin this too hard. 5 mil plastic sheeting in the truck bed, salt and garden hose. Back twuck as close to pool as possible, loose the winch, take cable over brush guard, over headache rack, with a little extra poolside. I can assume you have collared and put a long lead on your SHARK. Attach winch cable to lead and slowly winch into twuck. Drive to Mediacom, prop open front door, back to said door, disconnect SHARK from winch and drop tailgate. It is enough water with a SHARK in it.
Trying to sort through all my stuff, with the plan of taking a bunch of it to sell tomorrow. I wish I had some idea how much space I’m going to have… Hope I actually sell enough to make it worth my while, I’m going to need all the spare cash I can get.
Damn this is getting stressful, there’s a little timer ticking down in my head going ‘if you don’t find anything in x days, then you’re screwed!’ Hopefully some of my friends currently in France will be able to at least look after some of my stuff for a while- I can’t very well live in van or on friends’ couches with two fish tanks. Not really a traditional homeless person’s pet.
Anyway, I should get back to sorting stuff out. Hope you all’re having a better weekend.
Looks like another crab-free day, with rain promised. We’re going to ride up to Glen Burnout to get aquarium salt, then stop in Annapolis to see the fancy-pants aquarium in the mall. We saw it on TV last night - it was built by those guys in Vegas who have the TV show about building freeky fish tanks… Anyway, it’s something to do on a potentially dreary day.
Bah, my off-her-rocker, not-right-in-the-head mother is visiting. As soon as she came she started spouting nonsense to me while my dad muttered angrily in the background.
It’s supposed to rain today, but maybe I’ll flee to downtown as soon as possible and find stuff to do there, or something.
We do tend to carp on and on with the fish puns don’t we?
In other news TVCTPMO in the form of Mediacom is doin’ an outstandin’ job today. After my fit with ‘em yestiddy evenin’ and a non to pleasant for them phone call to me this mornin’ (hey they called me!) I have been assured the stoopid digital box thingies will work. So I connect 'em up, follow the directions and one of 'em still has a green blinkin light (they are supposed to be steady green lights once activated) and because of this I cannot program any of the stoopid remotes that came with the stoopid boxes. GRRRRRRRRRR!
I’m sure you could get a grouper new ones together if you worked on it.
So, it’s Caturday, I have done the ironing, run errands, vacuumed the floors, done half an hour on the wii and had a shower. I’m making chilli later but now I think I shall retire to my sofa with aperitif. That sounds like quite the most civilised thing to do.
Good luck with the house-hunt, Nuts - I’m afraid I don’t know anyone down your part of the country who might be able to help with the fishies at least.
The fish puns are makin’ me sick enough to need a sturgeon.
I give up. I plugged the cable lines back into all the teevees. I shall take my vendetta against Mediacom to the local office on Monday. My thought is to box up all those digital thingys and remotes, take 'em in, say none of 'em work so give me some that do. Or send ‘em a shark and a box of pointy stick wieldin’ Sri Lankan spiders.
Right now Ima go to the cee-mint pond and have me a beerverage.
Well, I’ve not found anywhere yet, but I’m looking round one house on monday, and I’m meeting up with someone tomorrow who’s looking for something similar, to work out if we want to look together- she picked my favourite cafe to meet in, which I reckon is a Good Sign.
I reckon the car boot sale’s off tomorrow- it’s been raining all day, and the forecast now says rain tomorrow mornin’. I don’t feel like getting up really early, driving half an hour, then either having it cancelled or having no customers (even if it does turn out dry, if it’s forecast to be wet not so many will show up), so I shall leave it til next week.
Back from a nice afternoon out and about. We went to the mall in Annapolis to look at the fish tank that those TV guys made - singularly unimpressive. Not many fish, and all the “coral” in it was fake and painted hideous colors. ick. And they’d removed some of the stuff that was shown on the program - made it less tacky, frankly.
Then we went to the art store and **FCD **bought a bunch of bottles for his airbrush paint. After that, we drove to Glen Burnie and got a bunch of salt for the aquarium, followed by a late lunch at Boston Market near Marley Station - I bet **sari **knows the one… On the way home, we stopped for milk. And we didn’t get rained on too much.
