Happy Birthday,** Bobbio**!
Tired. Going to bed now so that I can get up early and get some irk done. Is it soup yet?
Hi, tarra!
Hugs all.

I don’t know what woke me up, but something did and I can’t fall back asleep.
So Happy Thorsday!
Happy Lammas!
It’s a dark 72 degrees outside, dark because it’s 3 am.
Today I have a mess of papers to print out, sign, and send back. Joy and happiness because I just love printing and scanning and searching for the scanned documents and scanning them again this time remembering to call them something I can remember not that it helps because I still won’t be able to find them because they never go where I intend them to go. Eventually I will find them and name them something new and then I can copy and send them, usually multiple times because they are sideways or in the wrong format or something else goes wrong.
You’d never know I used to be a computer programmer, back in the dinosaur days of keypunch machines and COBOL and cics (macro and micro) and dl/I and even a little assembler.
So today will be printing, scanning, signing, sending, arranging money, feeding kitties, watering bonsai, and picking peppers.
Then off to have lunch with my friend. I think I may get some food at the all you can eat/pay by the pound carryout Chinese place near the kitties and take it out to her house with me.
I haven’t eaten there in years.
And of course irk, always irk.
Morning, Mumpers! Hump day was fun, went to the pub with a couple of friends. Since the fine weather wasn’t playing, we had to sit inside instead of outside but it wasn’t too bad. The pub was busy and quite noisy which makes it difficult for one of my friends as he’s hard of hearing but it was still a fun night out.
Mooom will be pleased to hear that the conversation was a bit less unusual than last week’s mix of topics, this time it was fishing, strange orders from eBay, tailor’s dummies (and attachments), 3D printers and tattoos.
Off to be productive today, and think about stunningly interesting questions to ask 'cos I’ve got an interview next week for a job.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 89 and maybe rain. It rained late yestiddy afternoon into the evenin’. We shall see.
sari it will be worth it when the house is all yours and you can do what you want when you want and nekkid if you want, provided Sahkid isn’t there. We don’t want to scar him now do we.
BooFae appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the job interview next week.
Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence.
Happy Thursday Y’all!
The old farts are the ripest.
I love waking to the sound of a nice, gentle rain shower. That round of rain is done, but we’re promised showers on and off today. We shall see.
No crabbers yet. I was hoping this would be a big day, since it’s a random day, which means I can go after as many as I can schedule in one day. Had yesterday been my random day, I’d have gotten 3. So far, nothing. Which sucks. I need to find a real job.
Good luck with your interview, BooFae!
**sari **- I was never a programmer, but the first computer class I took was FORTRAN IV back in 1973. It was a 1-month mini-mester where I learned about flowcharts, IF/THEN statements, loops, and how critical a comma can be. Even when I was at Purdue in the late 70s, you could identify the Computer Science majors by the boxes of punch cards tucked under their arms. I signed up for many a session on the card punch machines in the wee, small hours of the morning, because that’s the only time your could get them. Work stations were just becoming available on campus, but I never mastered them. I was an engineering major - I only had to take (I think) 2 computer classes: FORTRAN 7 and a feedback course in the electrical engineering department. Heck, my first semester, I used a slide rule…
Happy First of August, and Happy Thursday!!!
Blurf.
Anyone seen my givadammer?
It may have been [del] smashed to tiny pieces with a large hammer [/del] um, misplaced.
I thought for sure this was going in a different direction.
*<shaking head at lieu> * Seriously, dude??
The entire sales department is in an all-day meeting today. Ninety percent of my work comes from the sales department. This will be either the best or the worst day ever.
You were expecting something else from us, Moooommmm!?:dubious:
I’m up, caffeinated, and off irk. It’s cleaning, laudnry, and packing day.
Good luck on the interview, BooFae!
BBBobboi, I pawned my givadammer, and bought a six-pack.
Drae, sounds like it’s Candy Crush Day at work for you.
I’m on a level I can’t beat, with cages and bombs and chocolate–Imma run out of lives way too fast.
I’ll spend the morning doing catch-up work and fielding phone calls that will all be “Yeah, nope, uh-huh, I can’t help you.” Then I’ll probably start with printer-paper origami. My boss loves when I get creative and give her things.
From you, no. But I’ve actually met **lieu **and he seemed like a perfectly nice and classy guy… Obviously, I am not much of a judge of character…
It’s nearly 9, and still no crabbers in my zone are going out. I thought for sure I’d get at least 2 today, maybe 3. Crap. This will make for a really lean payday. Dammit.
You left it over by, you know, that thing.
Hey, can I help it when amusing sequential posts appear?
Okay, off to help some little old ladies across the street, pull recyclables from all my neighbor’s trash and rescue wild horses from the canning factory.
blurf of full am I
Yoda?
Is that you?
Dyslexic, you are?
Y’all get the hell off my lawn!!!
And belated happy birthday, Swampbear!
My baby sister had her baby yesterday. I has a new nephew!!
He weighed 7.7 pounds and was 21 inches long and was delivered via c-section.
He was sent to the NICU yesterday because of some breathing problems, but I hope he is out of there soon.
I am so pleased for my sister and brother-in-law. They have been trying for quite some time to have a baby, and had lost two already. Baby Kevin is absolutely adorable and has a head full of hair!
I hope to have more info today regarding his condition and/or length of stay in the NICU.
I am here at the ol’ salt mines and still have a case of the donwannas. Alas and alack, I shall persevere because that’s what I do.
