It's Time Again for Stoid!

Well, I also don’t get arrested, yet have indulged in the exquisite pleasure of illicit substances many times in the past. I can say from experience you have definitely missed out. You should at least take the gold star. :stuck_out_tongue:

One thing’s for sure: should Monty require pain medication in the United States, he’ll have a problem getting it. Partly due to the Puritan ethic, and partly due to people like stoid.

I hope stoid is happy that people who are dying have problems keeping their pain controlled due to people like her.

Because Stoid has the mentality of an entitled 3 year old who simply cannot see any connection between her behaviour and being denied something. If a toddler could produce cites for why Mummy has to give them a biscuit, they would; as it is, Stoid’s inevitable pages of references, cites, qualifications, definitions and explanations just boil down to her shouting BUT I WANT IT! YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT TO ME! YOU’RE MEAN AND I HATE YOU! at the world.

Uh, dude? Those aren’t brownies…

That’s like, just your supposition, man…

…or was that suppository?

This thread has gone from the proverbial sublime to the ridiculous.

Can a thread be turned into a parody AFTER the OP? 'Cos this one is a delicious example of such.

Keep going fellas…you’re entertaining me on this boring Aussie Saturday night.

Wow. You are just frustrated as hell, aren’t you?

Take some comfort in the fact that I also suffer because of others abuse and misuse, which is far more egregious and rampant than my relaxed approach has ever aspired to. I have ADD and aside from the endless hoops that must be jumped through (Adderall being Schedule II and all, Costco pharmacy goes over my prescriptions with a microscope, then they check with some master list and the DEA and they track my every move when it comes to filling my prescriptions for any stimulants.) my medication simply vanishes altogether at times. The government actually rations the raw ingredients to make it and the pharmaceutical companies just can’t fill the demand. Demand which is greatly inflated by students and others not merely sharing it and selling it, but they are using it for the benefits without having any of the actual issues for which it is legitimately prescribed. (And I can already see the posts questioning the legitimacy of my diagnosis… certain things are as reliable as the sun rising and setting…)

madsircool! You’re back! I’m sorry, I must have missed your post withdrawing your false assertions, can you point it out?

I’m terribly, terribly sorry that I got a minor detail in a thread on the internet from three weeks ago confused with a detail in another thread by the same person. You only assembled the letter with your cites, you didn’t actually send it to the vet, so I guess you annoyed the vet a little less than I thought, certainly less than you did people in the other threads of yours. The fact that you keep nitpicking really specific details is not unexpected.

This is a psychological phenomenon called ‘projection;’ you use drugs in a casual way, and refuse to believe that people who don’t actually don’t. I’d post a link, but I expect you’ll cut and paste half a dozen copies of the definition from somewhere before it’s all over. There really are people who don’t smoke pot, and people who don’t ‘loan’ Xanax to the guy doing yard work, and who don’t bring syringes of dog ass valium to dose someone up who had a hard time.

To busy trying to troll astro, I guess.

Do you ever share your adderall ?

That’s what you get for having a drug dealing dog.

Well, while I’m probably in the minority and will certainly get flak for saying this, I am pretty skeptical as to the legitimacy of the ADD/ADHD “condition”, period. It’s a “disease” that apparently never existed for millions of years of human history, and still only exists mostly in developed wealthy countries that can afford designer pharmaceutical speed to “treat” it, conveniently. Which of course has made Big Pharma billions of bucks since it became a major pop culture fad to have ADHD.

I’ve had Adderall and of course it helps people focus, because it’s speed. Everyone has trouble focusing on boring shit for extended periods of time, especially kids, who get prescribed it the most. You talk about there being shortages of it, but that’s probably because everyone and their mother has a 'script for it. At least when I was in school, you couldn’t spit without hitting someone who was diagnosed with ADHD and got prescription speed for it. The whole thing has always just seemed really dicey to me.

Get your friends to shove it up your arse; that’s bound to get even your attention.

I realize that this is the Pit, but would you care to cite this claim?

I’m inclined to agree; of the three adults I know who claim to have ADHD, two of them are just lazy selfish entitled arseholes who think that work and paying bills is for other people.

You really were standing behind the door when they were handing out self-awareness, weren’t you?

If you had one kid with ADHD and one kid without it, as I do, you would never say that. Which is not to say that it’s not over-diagnosed, and not to say that some people are medicated for it who could probably manage it in other ways…but believe me, it exists.

And, I’d posit that it always existed, but that it wasn’t as obvious until people had to sit at a desk and do boring tasks. Just because it’s harder to cope with it in the modern world, doesn’t mean that it didn’t exist in other times & places.

Somewhat off topic, but I’ve never heard of valium being used as an anti-convulsant. Unless of course, this is only the case for dogs.

I’d be delighted. But take into account that there is something fundamentally flawed in my use of The Google Machine and somehow my cites all end up saying the same thing: Stoid is Stupid, Crazy and Just Plain Awful and This Proves It. I’m not really sure how it works, actually, I’m just saying you might want to do your own research to completely avoid any possible Stoidal Google Cooties.

But since you asked, here’s your very own Stoidal Wall o’ Text featuring Stoidal Styling (I went with Stoidal Bold-Italic) a combination widely recognized for the way it strips words of all meaning, making comprehension virtually impossible for normal humans, so good luck!

All of which refers to the Controlled Substances Act of 1970, found in its entirety at this link… but thats actual law and it seems my citations to law are always wrong or I’m always wrong in how I understand them so they are no good anyway… something like that, so, again, might wanna let your fingers do their own walking, just to be safe.
