It's too hot MMP

Blurf.

blurf

I’m making a point to be up early so I can prove to Sweetie that it is possible for him to get up at 8am and be out of the house by 9am even when he doesn’t have a show that day. All it requires is me sitting on his computer until he leaves so he can’t be lured by the pull of anything more interesting than work.
8am sharp the phone rang. I assumed it was my mother because she’s the only person uncouth enough to call us at such an ungodly hour when everyone is still alive :D. Turns out it was actually the guy from Camosse that sold us the pavers. Apparently the vender changed their pallet counts and they owe us 36 pavers! WooHoo! Strange that I never even counted them. They went about as far as I expected so I didn’t worry about how many there were. Now I can add one more row to my path and make it wider.

Do you have room for a little 'un? I could do with a change of scenery!

What does it mean, “blurf”?
I’m new here.

Blurf means exactly what it sounds like - blah, ugh, meh, whine, just let me crawl back under the covers, wah… It’s an all-purpose expression that falls short of kill-me-now in expressing a temporary dissatisfaction with life.

Or it may be indicative of a bad attitude - your call.

It’s the first incomprehensible thing you utter when you wake up for the day. I’ve been looking through my Bloom County collection for the cartoon of Opus that is the inspiration. No joy so far.

As in, “Oh shuckins, it’s six o’clock.” ?

Yup.

This is what I was going for and what I might just do.

ETA: I’ve been trying to fax something for at least the last hour and it’s not working!!! I know I can send it via snail mail, but that makes me a little bit concerned (as to whether or not it will actually get there). Grrr…

Welcome! This might help, too.

It feels pretty great to have a day feel like Monday, but it’s already Tuesday! Plus I have Friday off! Even if I do have to take Dad to the dentist, and to the lab to draw blood, and to the bookstore…

It’s better than working!

ETA: First on 2!!!

It’s been a productive morning. Three loads of laundry are out on the lines, I’ve showered and dressed, settled some household finance stuff, and, um, that’s pretty much it. But considering I’m doing all of this with sleep deprivation, I think it’s noteworthy!

A look at the 10-day forecast is showing a lot of rain - YAY! So sometime today, I need to get out front and do some additional grass-seeding. I expect our FedEx delivery to show up any time now - in the past, we’ve gotten our fish-related stuff before noon and there’s just 90-ish minutes till noon, so…

I think I want a snack.

First time I’ve gone to work from my new place! My commute is 20 minutes shorter - part of that might be because I left really frikking early, but it’s not like I could fart around and have a leisurely breakfast, play with the cats, etc, because I have none of those things. (My fridge contains a gallon of milk, a soda, raspberry cider, and hard lemonade. Yes, I need to go grocery shopping).

Why? A bag of Doritos, and you’d have everything you’ll need for the week.

Off to school soon. I don’t wanna. Of course, I don’t hafta for too much longer.

New critters have arrived, been acclimated, and been put into the aquarium. They better get their lazy butts to work and start eating algae!!!

Off to seed the lawn…

Mooom, I thought you got coral…coral eats algae?

Sticky, are you just almost done for the semester or graduating? I can’t remember!

My attempt at getting Sweetie up and out early totally failed. Turns out he was really tired because the dogs were pests at 5am…for an hour. So, I let him sleep an hour longer and THEN he got out of bed. Unfortunately I ended up sleeping more…until just now. I really don’t like the heat. It totally saps my motivation to live. We need to hurry up and take the storms out because it’s NOT that hot in or out today but the house feels unpleasant and stagnant. Here at my desk there’s a lovely breeze blowing in at me.

At work at 6am so I could have a blood draw (I work at a hospital). So I get to go home at 3! Actually, I’m going to work out since I spent the morning eating and then went to lunch. I feel like a bloated muskrat.

**congo **- we got corals when we were on vacation. This order was for crabs and snails and shrimps to eat up the algae an stuff in the tank - a cleaning crew. We had some, but not enough, so now we have more. Yay!

Just for the semester. I’ll graduate in about a billion years.
