MOOOOOOM has a recipe posted in the blog for her grandmother’s cabbage rolls. I went and looked cause I thought she had submitted it and lo and behold, there it is! I haven’t tried 'em yet but the recipe sounds like teh yum!
Howdy Y’all! Just sneakin’ in a post before beddy bye time. Gotta go sleepy time as tomorrow starts my workweek again at six a.m. Le Sigh.
Men’s night at church 'twas good. Just as I thought, the baked sweet N.O.T. with the cinnamon/brown sugar butter were a hit. Heh. Our Priest told OYKW that if he gets to eat stuff like that a lot, he’s a spoiled brat. Have I mentioned how much I like our new Priest?
Whew- this has got to be the latest I’ve ever posted on a Monday. It’s been a crazy day. But on the good side, I’ve got an appointment with a new Dr in my county - no more driving 40 minutes from home - YAY!
Also, we’ve moved the aquarium to the living room and it will work out lots better in there. The only thing is I have to paint the wall where it’ll be sitting. I’ve been wanting to cover the pumpkin color and this will spur the process. I’ll just get the one wall painted and we’ll set the stand, then after I finish the bathroom remodel, I’ll finish painting the living room and hall.
We’ve also decided to make the living room into a living space instead of a big semi-furnished corridor. So yay for that. Once it gets painted, we’ll be looking for furniture and stuff. Wish I could get a real decorator, but we’ll figger it out ourselves.
Back to work today. yeah, that was fun. But one day down and four to go. So there’s that.
Hugs and gropes all around. Send chocolate. KTHXBYE!
Bleh, long day at work. I had to stop at the grocery store on the way home, but was slightly delayed due to an accident that had just occurred. The cars looked pretty munched, but everyone was standing around, so I assume no one was seriously hurt. The cops hadn’t even arrived yet. One of the vehicles wasn’t going anywhere without a tow truck.
I’ve got to get dinner going, because Mr. Taters is asking about it. Although my day was long, his was even longer, so I’m inclined to be nice to him tonight and get dinner going earlier.
SQL sounds completely mind-numbing, Bobbio. I tried using it a little when I was using a mapping program, but without instruction, I wasn’t very good at it. I found a different way to work around my problem.
I read Soapy’s post as “I am an idiot fuck” and thought she was being kinda hard on herself in bed…
I am (finally) home. I came home, changed and went straight to Target, grocery store and Home Depot. Now tomorrow (day off) all I have to do is echocardiogram, return books and make cookies for Daughter’s snail mail care package for her Bday.
Yay–a day off without too many errands!
Hello to all and good night soon. This not sleeping well every other night has got to stop. It’s most annoying.
The first time I had scotoma with a migraine, I was convinced I was either having a stroke or a brain tumor. And then a part of me (the RN part) said, you are having scotoma. Go lay down. The weirdest thing about it is that I drew a picture of it while I had it and it was cool. But no line drawing could do justice to the sparkling, seething whirlpool that swirled in front of my eyes (mostly the left), with the rest of my vision in deep focus. Very weird, but cool…
I too am  about having no cookie ingrediments in the house. Surely that marks the End Times?
We have to prepare a long translation for one of the classes and it has to be presented with a specific form. Which I can’t find. Guess I’ll have to go to the program office and ask for a copy.
The interwebz service at uni is being stoopit about games. Pisses me right off.
My stomach can’t make its mind up whether I’m hungry or not.
Guess I know why I can’t sleep. Doesn’t make me like no-sleeping any better, tho.
you’ll have to wait til tomorrow for tales from my salad days - I’m wiped out from a long busy day- plus the eye doc dilated my pupils so he could see my macula, so I can barely make out the letters on my keyboard
Dinner is in the oven and on the stove top. I’m trying to be somewhat good. I’m making oven fried chicken breasts salt and peppered and then brushed with a mixture of low-fat mayon and dijon mustard. I then took cornflake crumbs, grated some lemon rind into it, added parsely and a couple pinches of parmesan cheese and coated the chicken with that too. They’re baking in the oven at 425 degrees for about 25 minutes.
To accompany it, I’m making low-sodium chicken rice-a-roni. Yes, I know that’s still kind of bad, but hubby likes it, and I’m trying to be nice. No veggies tonight, because I spaced and didn’t get any.
So, is there an abnormal number of people with ocular migraines in this thread or are they far more common than anyone would think? I haven’t had one in a couple of years, but was as freaked out as everyone else the first time. I was helping a roommate and her classmate with homework and couldn’t see the paper clearly for a few minutes.
Can’t help you with the not sleeping, Nava.
I’m sleepy, but need to read my book club book some more. I’m not liking it a whole lot, but not hating it either…
Guess I’ll read for a bit, then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
See, I just figured that being an idiot fuck meant you were easier than Ado-Annie in Oklahoma! Or you could be into fucking idiots…morons deserve their sexuality, too! Mor-hardons!*
Ok, I think I may need medication.
*I’m not sure what this means, but it’s making me laugh.
Anyone remember my Big Brother thread wherein he pissed me off? Now he’s doing it on my FB wall. (for those of you who do not indulge–I posted my status as looking for a Sugar Daddy and he wrote that I don’t need one, “my hubby” makes a lot of money. He must be printing it in the basement while I’m at my two jobs, then. I am going to wait until tomorrow and then PM him and tell him to STFU. Or something.)
Ok, either TH has lied to Big Bro about his job status, his income or both OR they’re both delusional. I just asked TH about this and he ticked off how much money he “made” this year: his severance package (gone–used to pay off credit card debt and for COBRA), his inheritance from his dad (invested, gone to mortgages and day to day expenses) and his current “pay”–his mother is paying him to manage her portfolio. It’s inconsistent and not nearly as much as he made as a CFO (but enough to kick him off unemployment). Yes, it IS money coming in and I’m grateful.
However, IMO, this does not constitute money being made. This is money made because of one time occurrences. This does not equal “making a lot of money”, right? To me, making a LOT of money means I don’t have to work 2 jobs. No?
