Normal person with more than eight years on the Dope + Dope loathes “lol” = Normal person does not use “lol,” if only not on the Straight Dope Message Board. (Because a normal person would know the use of “lol” makes him look dumb as brick wall on the SDMB.)
Person on the Dope + person using “lol” = IQ of approximately 65, if I’m feeling generous.
I would like to think that people with 65 points on any IQ curve couldn’t be graduate students, but I guess I can make an exception in Michael Ellis’ case.

This is the stupidest thing I have ever read on this board, and I’m including all the late greats, like Wildest Bill and Jack Dean Tyler in my assessment.
Vinyl Turnip has a severe disability and his user name is a joking reference to his IRL condition. I knew that, but I forgot. Tacoloco knew that, and hence his post. No one was implying that anyone had brain damage.
I didn’t know being a smartass was a medical condition.
I did not know that about Vinyl Turnip. If that’s true, and Tacoloco did, then that’s fucking low.
