I know our Bekkers had a VERY happy T-day in her very own home, in her very own bed. That is TRUE thankfulness!
After all the thankfulness, then it will be time to head to the pantry, to rip out the hated shelving. I mean, what good is wire shelving in a pantry? The rice, the uncooked pasta, the dried beans will fall THROUGH the wires and end up on the floor. Don’t people realize stepping on those items HURT when you step on them with bare feetsies?
I made up a rule when my kids were little: “If it’s not yours, leave it alone!” This also applies to the grown kids now!
I told Ivy there were people here I don’t know.
Mr. Wrek brought a weirdo name Bernard who cooks very good Key lime pie. Hmmm?
Son had a weirdo of his own here.
Wouldn’t eat with us.
My daughters ex has been here. He’s actually being good this year.
My Eldest sister brought the 2 of her daughters who aren’t married or have kids. That was strange. Haven’t seen those 2 in years.
It was 20+ yesterday. My brothers left this morning. The deer hunters left for the joint for poker and onto the Camp.
The conqueroring hero, Hamza came in today.
RJ is home contemplating suicide after the football game this afternoon.
Daughters ex took the Boys to do something fun and shop.
So it’s really quiet since Big sister passed out
Sounds like everyone is on their best behavior. Good. You don’t need chaos.
Should you be eating that Key Lime pie? Hmmm? You’d best send it up here for safekeeping. Who’s going to keep your son from buying a camouflage rug for his wife for Christmas?
I had three people plus me here in person for Thanksgiving. (For this purpose the Zoom contingent doesn’t coun’t.) We wound up with one dish/jug each of: large roast chicken with stuffing, gravy, sweet potatoes, roast veggies (potatoes/carrots/brussels sprouts), sweet cider, hard cider, something I can’t think of right now – and four pies.
Agreed, not fair, but wise. At least you got a bite. I love key lime pie but when I discovered how much sugar was in it, I was shocked. I have to avoid sugar in everything else for the day if I want a slice. That’s hard work.
