iZombie - anyone else planning to watch?

So far, Babineaux and Moore have been called “Ebony and Ivory” and “Cagney and Pasty”.

I suggest “Homes and Whiteskin”. Any others?

And here the first commercial after his first scene was an ad for Neutrogena with Kristen Bell which, even if you hate ads, was pretty clever.

But Wallace would never be the bad guy! He’s too little and cute to kill, even remotely!

This most recent episode annoyed me. Do bullet proof vests not exist in their universe?

“I shot a guy three times in the chest, then left the room. When I went back, he was gone and there was no blood.”

“The only possible explanation is that you’re psychotic and you hallucinated the whole thing.”

Yep, that checks out.

Well Major was saying that he killed him. And he was convinced that Clive would find the Candyman in a hospital somewhere. So, you’d assume he took the guy’s pulse and didn’t find one.

He said he killed him and was positive Clive would find the Candyman in a hospital somewhere because, as he repeated multiple times, he “shot him three times in the chest.”

Even if he then followed that up with an off-camera “and he had no pulse” the immediate and most obvious reaction from Clive should have been “He was probably wearing a vest, and in your panic you didn’t check his pulse properly.”

Yeah, I kept waiting for them to bring that up.

Didn’t detract too much from an overall enjoyable episode. This show has really been a lot of fun.

Oh agreed, and on re-read it could seem like I’m outraged. Nothing more than a minor annoyance; I find the show quite charming and am still enjoying it. And this despite the fact that I really dislike procedurals.

Fingers crossed they don’t keep going to the well of the excluded middle: “Either zombies exist, or you’re having hallucinatory breaks with reality. No other possible explanation (except the obvious one anyone in the real world would naturally assume but we’re going to pretend doesn’t exist.)”

Most of the people who could take him out are dependent on him for their food supply.

And several people have tried, he just gets the drop on them first.

“But not me! I’m a nice zombie!”

hee!

I thought this most recent episode was the best of the season. The multiple levels of fakeout with the mental illness was fantastic, and I love that they’re continuing to move the Blaine story forward at a reasonable clip.

And it didn’t feel cheap, the fakeouts I mean. She did eat the brain of a mental patient.

And even if it was a fake out in the end Mayor still ended up knowing.

He doesn’t know about her, yet. And he’s a bit more agitated about it than he was in her hallucination.

I and Mrs. Mahaloth totally fell for the fake-outs. We had no idea. We were really glad she told her boyfriend. Oh, well.

Yeah, he wants to kill them all… so Liv feels like she should refrain from letting him know what she is… but maybe as a season cliffhanger?

One thing I have noted is that, regardless of whether Major is in the correct and trying to do the best for the world that he can and everything, he’s still basically acting like a nut. I feel like he’s more on the path towards becoming Ahab van Helsing than he is towards being a viable love interest for our heroine, and yet I’m not yet confident that the writers intend for him to become an irredeemably crazy zombie hunter and certainly they haven’t yet fleshed out any sort of personality which would have led him to being that sort of person (though perhaps that’s the fault of the actor).

On another note, why didn’t he zombify when they locked lips? If scratching someone can switch them, one would think that swapping saliva really would. That’s her whole fear with dating him after all.

Right, but it wasn’t some bullshit “oh it was a hallucination, back to the status quo” plot.

I thought it was communicated that that was one of her hallucinations, too. Am I wrong about that?
