Jan Berry of 1960’s Surf Music fame has passed on.

As someone who pretty much lived on Huntingon beach in the early 60s and listened to he and Dean Torrence (sp?) (and the Beach Boys and Dick Dale (sp?)), he will be missed.
I remember when he had his accident in the mid-60s, and we were pretty surprised he survived that.

Wow. One of the very few LPs I still own.
I saw Jan & Dean last year at a concert: yes, it was quite obvious that Jan would never be the way he was, but it was also quite obvious that he loved music even if at times all he could do was sit and enjoy the sounds and the reactions of the concert goers.
A sad day.
