“Did you get to take a dump on Nancy’s desk?”
“Naah, there was some dude sitting there already.”
“Darn it! Do I have to do everything myself?”

“What do you mean you can’t find Pence? Follow the fucking fly!”
Since this wasn’t that long before the Slobfather called off the dogs, I suspect it was a call to get an assessment from the battlefield as to whether they had any hope of carrying out the mission.
But the more important question - who made the call?
Nine seconds is plenty of time for, “Get out. They’re sending in the National Guard.”
WI Assembly leader, Robin Vos, gets a call from TFG in July 2022 (NB: 19 months after the election), just checking on how it’s going – you know: the quest to overturn the election.
Vos ghosts TFG (apparently, he’s just not that into you, TFG).
The J6C has Subpoenaed Vos. Vos has to wax his dog that day, sadly.
That’s ok. I expect he’ll soon receive a grand jury subpoena from the DOJ, if he hasn’t already. We’ll see how much dog-waxing gets done then.
"Vos states in his lawsuit that the subpoena “imposes an undue burden, seeks to infringe on Speaker Vos’ legislative immunity from civil process, lacks a lawful purpose, and was issued from an unlawful Committee.”
He sounds like a real Yankee Doodle Dandy.
Legislators are immune to civil process? Really?
Vos takes three swings at the facts and misses. And he expects to be awarded a homerun.
“An unlawful committee”.
Republicans are pathetic.
The next January 6th hearing is going to occur between wall-to-wall hurricane coverage and the immediate needs of those terribly affected by the storm. Shouldn’t they reschedule?
Looking forward to this.
…
“Fuck the voting, let’s get right to the violence,” he’s [Roger Stone] heard saying in footage obtained by CNN from filmmakers Christoffer Guldbrandsen and Frederik Marbell. “Shoot to kill. See an antifa? Shoot to kill. Fuck ’em. Done with this bullshit.”Clips from the documentary, “A Storm Foretold,” are expected to be featured during this week’s hearing by the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol carried out by Trump supporters. The film is set for release later this year.
The Washington Post said Stone followed up his call to violence with an “only kidding.”
…
Roger, you silly scamp! You really had us going there!
I think it comes from this clause in Article I
.They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.
So if someone decides to sue him for something completely unrelated to his legislative work, can they serve him papers at his home while he’s cutting the grass?
the committee is postponing the hearing due to ian.
You got your wish. No new date yet announced, but as @rocking_chair notes, the postponement has happened.
Well dang. I do want to see it, and Ian’s going to interrupt that, but I wish they’d go on anyhow.
[Yzma] “Kronk, this is kind of important.” [/Yzma]
Well, rats. What am I supposed to do with all this popcorn?
Why do these snakes assume they’re the only ones who can shoot? I’m reminded of the Northfield, Minnesota raid where the James-Younger gang ran into more than they could handle.
