I agree totally. My ex-girlfriend was on Depo Provera and it was great. She didn’t have to deal with the obvious monthly issues, or pay for “feminine” products.
There should also be some obvious implied benefits to not having a “time of the month” regarding a couple’s intimate life too.
Almost 5 years we were together and I didn’t see any downside to it.

I hope that helps. I also have homemade brownies with walnuts, a pint of Baskin-Robbins Jamoca Almond Fudge ice cream and lots of leftover Halloween candy, lots of chocolate stuff.
Would you like to relax with a good book? I have a selection of Oprah books that…Oww! Stop hitting me!
Ahh, the wonders of a hysterectomy. I haven’t had a period in six years.
I’m starting to wonder if reading this thread yesterday caused me to get my period today… If you think cramps are bad, try being on the rag and having a yeast infection at the same time.
This morning, not only did I have to suffer through the onset of the aforementioned moist trauma (during which time, it must be noted, one can not use tampons) but I had to sit through a tedious and seemingly endless PowerPoint class. And the woman next to me didn’t know how to use a mouse.
The DAY BEFORE ChickDope. Oh yeah. How’s that for timing? Thanks a whole fucking lot, jarbabyj. You and your Alpha Female self. Bitch.
But I’ve got about three-quarters of a tub of frozen chocolate chip cookie dough in my freezer, with a whole lot of female Doper names on it. And since this is that time of the month, don’t even worry abut trying to be polite. Just dig it out of the container with your fingers.
I read this thread Thursday afternoon, and just as i am leaving for work, Thursday night, MY period starts. Now i am more stiff, tired, achy, and cannot get comfortable with the cramps in my back.
I was kind of nauseous early friday morning, but now i am looking for junk food to feed my face. And i hate to wear a bra right now.
I’ve had a nasty cold for the past few days. It’s turning into a sinus infection, which frequently happens to me at least once a year around this time.
According to my post in this thread on November 8, I had just finished my period.
Today is November 21 - and I’m starting again? The day before Thanksgiving so that I can feel full and bloated before I’ve even finished the first helping of my mother-in-law’s incredible stuffing?
