Jay Leno's garage.

Don’t you just love Jay?
Check out his amazing garage.
He’ll take you for a spin or two in his Carrrera GT, by video of course.
If I can’t have one, I’m glad it’s Jay Leno who can. He drives his treasures, and shares.
Is this the right forum?
Peace,

I want that 1908 Baker Electric. Just the thing for cruising and picking up chicks!

I’ve always envied the bike from Marine Turbine. I believe he said in a review of it that a Saturn was behind him at an intersection in Burbank and the bike’s exhaust melted its front bumper.

I wonder if the Saturn driver was savvy enough to keep the bumper?

I wish that had been my Saturn. sniff I’d never have washed that bumper again! Of course there wouldn’t have been much left, but…

Anyway, that website is porn for motoring enthusiasts. Damn nice of the man to open it up to us all. I wonder (this sounds terribly macabre but that’s how my mind works) what he’s planning to do with his collection when he passes.

I’d sit in the right hand seat of that GT with him driving, and I don’t like that seat. Not in a car like that.
Zoom zoom this, Mazda.
Cool Hudson for that Old Lady, huh? She dug the restoration. Word is that Leno’s pretty cool. For a celeb.

Husband got burned on the bike by a F1 on Angeles Crest. Probably Leno. I saw a GT (not Leno) coming down off the Crest once; dude driving it must have thought I was checking him out. Actually I was checking out the car, but hey. Gorgeous car. I think I’d rather have the GT than the McClaren.

Ah, if wishes were fishes we’d all cast nets.

I was the Porshe-Audi dealer in San Jose having my Audi (I miss that car) serviced and they had a Carrera GT, yes that one, in the showroom. They got nervous when I threatened to sit in it, and for some reason wouldn’t let me take it out. I did get to look it over real good, though. And touch it. The car is tight. A thing of beauty.

Oh, crap. That site is pure crack, only more addictive. Guess I’m a car guy. And I would sell my soul for one of those Carreras, 'cause I sure don’t have the money.

Boy you go that right.

The one I looked at (touched :)) was tagged at $470,000.

Leno writes occasional columns for Popular Mechanics under the heading “Jay Leno’s Garage”. The July 2007 issue (cover illustration about China’s militarized space program) includes him talking about collecting cars with interesting histories, even if the models aren’t particularly rare though he did acquire, for free, a V12 fire engine that had once been in service on the Warner Brothers lot.

The wildest car he has is the one built around an engine from a M47 Patton Tank.

He does an occasional column for The Times in the UK when Jeremy Clarkson is away, sounds like a proper petrol-head, without knowing about that Garage

Have Clarkson and Leno ever met? Because that’s something I’d like to see.

Jay Leno knows how to be rich, doesn’t he.

It was built by the Blastolene bros.. What is Blastolene you ask? Go here to find out.

No better candidate surely for the “star in a reasonably priced car” lap.

(And looking back at my post I meant to say that even without knowing about his garage, Leno sounds like quite the petrol head)

He also writes for Octane, a favorite of mine.

I’ve also seen Jay and his cars on the Speed Channel show My Classic Car. He’s a true car guy.
