And I disagree about Guy being weak willed. He may be easy to put one over on, but he snaps out of it pretty quickly. The point being, the mass of the corps, as depicted, are not even close to easy marks that way.

I believe, however that large numbers of the Jedi who were on Geonosis were wiped out. When you think about it, with a few exceptions, the Jedi are about as tough as Starfleet Security

Starfleet Security, ironically, would stand a good chance, owing to their ranged weapons and yellow shirts. (Kirk era Starfleet Security though, with their red uniforms, would be toast, all in unique and dramatic ways.)

The thing with Geonosis was that the Jedi just had what seemed to me a Really Bad Plan™. They sneak into the arena and then… gather in the middle? There didn’t seem to be a lot of coordination going on other than all of them getting herded together.

Also, as far as I can tell, the Jedi are good defenders, but not terribly spectacular attackers. They have the cool Jedi teek tricks, but they can’t do that while defending against blaster attacks. Get a large force of soldiers to shoot at them persistently, and the laws of probability would dictate that the occasional random shot, if only one in a thousand, will get through, usually directly into one of the 50+ Jedi knights gathered together in the middle of the arena.

Only works if the Jedi are all standing around on a planet’s surface waiting for the GL to show up. Many of the Jedi have been shown flying starfighters or cruising around in starcruisers. Though of course, none of the starfighters in the Star Wars universe have been shown to have sheilds that were worth much (while the GLs can make forcefield bubbles that seem nigh-inpenetrable).

Yeah, and at its hieght their were, what, a few hundred Jedi? And most of them are mooks that could be taken down by storm troopers.

There were more than 3600 Green Lanterns at teh height of the Corp.

IIRC, at their peak the The Jedi numbered at least 10,000.

I’ll say it:

The Jedi would win.

The rings the GL corp use have finite power (they have to recharge them every 24 hours, unless they’ve changed the rules since I was a kid). Force powers don’t have a set limit, unless you count pure concentration. And regaining your concentration would be a lot easier that sneaking off in the middle of a fight, sticking your ring in a lantern, and chanting.

While the GL corp has made strides in the field of yellow vulnerability, the Jedi could still capitalize on it better than the GL corp could exploit any Jedi weaknesses.

Jedi, easy.
