This is anecdotal, but if my casual perusal of the recreational site I sometimes visit is correct, there’s no such taboo on doing black guys; in fact, it seems to be a very popular and prominent theme.
From my very limited understanding (I know you don’t believe me, but it’s true), I think it does come back to the producers. “Interracial” does not seem to mean “substitute a black guy for the white guy and do everything the same.” It seems like they’re playing to a niche rough-sex audience.

As to the notion of actors being pigeonholed by appearing in interracial movies, I do believe there is a perception that anyone, especially a woman, who engages in interracial sex somehow has looser morals than someone who doesn’t. Yeah, like porn stars are shining examples of moral purity :rolleyes: . While interracial relationships are more mainstream than they were in the past, it is still sometimes a taboo subject. People today still express a reluctance or even fear bringing home a partner from outside their race (or religion) because they know that their family might have a hard time accepting it. The interracial porn taps into that and says, “This slut doesn’t care who she fucks. Look, she even does black guys!” Real classy. Any porn actress who wants to aspire to “name” status doesn’t want to be limited in her projects by being typecast as the girl who loves black cock. This is not her being racist, it is her being concerned about her career. Similarly, some mainstream actresses won’t do nude scenes or roles where the female character is weak or victimized.
Strangely, though, the idea of oriental women with white guys is not only acceptable but it is extremely lucrative.
There does seem to be a lot of typecasting, whether from consumer preference or industry practice–I recall Asia Carrera saying that she refused to do anal on camera because once you do, then you’re the “anal girl” and basically have to do it from then on. This may be the same reason JJ never did interracial, because it’s considered a “fetish” genre and she didn’t want to end up only being able to do that type of movie.

Sorry, didn’t see this. Nitpick: you can’t go to the store and sell marijuana to others; only the store can. It’s not a swap meet or anything. You can get a prescription for just about anything you can convince a doctor you have if you have $200, and a glance at any weekly reader in California will give you the names of plenty of easily convinced doctors.

This is as good an explanation as any. I’m still pretty shocked by the huge niche market for interracial porn. Is it really still taboo? There has been a huge increase in interracial amatuer porn with black guys on white chicks recently.
