Whoo, I think I got 40 (assuming they accept “cobras” for snakes, and don’t count the fact that I misspelled “Santa Anna” against me). I feel better now

Misread the question, thought they were asking for the name of the name-your-own-price system.
    SOOOOO Frustrating!

I think I got 41, if they give me cobras and a misspelling of Beckett  (though I blasted off a quick Google on a few - I’m such a cheater :()

I would’ve gotten 41, about what I got the night before.

It’s a cobra. I remember that clearly - in the cartoon they had hoods.
I went for baby bump instead of fist bump and I totally misread the Astronomer clue (I thought they were looking for “model of what” rather than “which scientist”) And I partially misread the browser clue (year matters).

But… well, it could have been worse.

What’s the turnaround on being contacted for an interview?

I took the online test on January 30 last year, got an email on April 25 inviting me to Chicago to audition on June 4, attended that audtion and got a phone call on Dec 12 asking if I wanted to come out to LA and film the show on Jan 27 - 28 '09 … silly question, is there any other answer than YES, PLEASE?

After the past year, what idiot doesn’t know Lindsay Lohan? This one, that’s who. I sat here, going “L…L…L…darn!”

I think I missed 13. Pretty much, the ones I knew, I knew, and the ones I didn’t I really didn’t. Completely missed the ‘B’ in the Geology one, but I wouldn’t have known it anyway, so I don’t feel too bad.

Although, I could see Bill Richardson standing on the platform with Barack Obama, while they talked about his beard. Just couldn’t get the name.

And I missed the clues in the two where they were pretty blatant. I knew they should mean something in the Shell one, but it just didn’t come to me. The “Some Like It Hot” fans in my family are going to be so upset with me.

Of course I meant William Blake. I’ve gotten dumber, but not that much dumber.

All I know about William Blake I learned about from Bull Durham

Some quote about “the road to excess is paved with good intentions” - William Blake! - Annie

What do you mean William Blake? - Crash Davis

I mean William Blake! - Annie

Who are you? - Crash Davis

I’m terrible on the literature questions.

I got 43. Wavering between encouragement and despair.

Just wanted to say good luck to all the other west coasters.

The only ones I didn’t know were the Lake Ontario, the Greek statues and the Beyonce questions.

I was taking a lot more time with each question than I’d be able to do on the show, though.

Do I know any straits in Turkey? I’m not sure.

Did Doris Kearns Goodwin have TIME to write a book about Obama’s cabinet? I don’t think so, but I couldn’t recall who the term was first applied to.

Speaking of Obama, I can’t believe I couldn’t remember the name of his AG nominee.

We’ll see what happens. :stuck_out_tongue:

Fucked that up all kinds of ways.

Missed the strait, but I got the other two. The rest were a tossup. The sports questions I couldn’t even guess. Ah well.

ARGHHH brain cramp big time. I should have known at least 48. but just had a mind blank on some of the easiest.

Laertes father? total blank out.
AG? nope nothing.
I must have throw any at least 8 easy ones including the times I was still trying to spell and never submitted as time ran out.

Bosporus is a straight in Turkey. Was it correct?

Goodwin was about Lincoln… I blanked on Walt f’in Whitman somehow… and only got “kicman” out for the last one (instead of Kidman).

Blech - I’ll go over them when they’re posted and tabulate…

Wow, and just saw that my last-second wild-ass-guess O’Keefe was right… hm, maybe this wasn’t so bad. Hopefully someone will post them soon on the Jeopardy! board.

Eh, but I guess Macon is the “Heart of Georgia” not Athens…
