He had good chances to score even better - he played the par 5 on the back nine indifferently and only got a par. And there was a bad lip-out as well.
Well, he’s no Kim Il-sung, but I guess he can keep practicing.

I know this’ll sound stupid, but I’ve always found it kind of surprising the record was that high.
Yeah, yeah, I know, 58 is incredible. But when I first learned 59 was the record I remember thinking, geez, all the rounds of golf that have been played, and someone like Nicklaus didn’t have one lucky day where he had fourteen birdies, an eagle, and no bogies? Just once?
But there it is.
Oh, please. Why all the fuss? I card 58 all the time on my home course.
