JNCO Jeans are back!!!

I got this PM a couple of weeks ago, and didn’t notice it right away (I think I’ve had like 12 PMs in the 5 years I’ve been on this board):

Well, Andrew, I’m sorry for the delay, but here’s what you wanted to know:

JNCO Jeans are back!!!

I spoke with Eli, who is in charge of the newly recreated JNCO Jeans line, and he tells me that the new line will certainly evoke the feeling of the older clothes, but he had no pictures up on the website yet, and seemed to be a bit perturbed and pressed for time. As a result, I have little information about what they will look like (I did let him know that we all want big pockets like in the old days, so we don’t have to sit on our wallets).

I do know that they will be sold at JC Penney, Sears, etc. All of the places that used to sell JNCO Jeans will sell them again.

Eli did tell me that he is shipping now, and that stores should have them on the shelves no later than June.

WOOT!

Oh. My. God!

So many questions. Who’s Eli? How/when did you talk to him? Do you need your feet massaged? Do you perform any other miracles?

EDIT: Also, bout time you checked your messages. I left you a message in two different threads informing you that you had a private message.

After a while I just figured you were keeping them all to yourself. I didn’t blame you either. :stuck_out_tongue:

Eli is the guy in charge of the JNCO line. I’m not sure if he is the designer, but he’s definitely in charge.

I used this thing I have called a “telephone” to initiate voice contact just this morning.

Seriously, I am a huge JNCO fan (over 80 pairs of shorts and over 20 pairsof jeans), and when I couldn’t find them at JCP, I called the company to ask about it. Since then (that was 2005, I think) I check in with them once or twice a year to badger them about re-introducing the JNCO line.

Last October I was told that they were going to start the line up again, and was given Eli’s name and email. Today I just called him, tho, since I was so late and slow in getting to your message.

Yes, but I agree with Vincent on the subject of foot massage, and I find that I prefer smaller, softer hands than I presume you to have.

Yes.

he he

Actually, if you live in Las Vegas, you better not be looking for waist sizes 36 or 38. I drive all over the valley and buy every pair I can find in my size of the pairs I like (we have 3 JCP’s here). But the 34s, 32s and so on are up for grabs. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh, and when I told him we all wanted big pockets, so we didn’t hurt our asses by sitting on our wallets, he said he understood the sentiment. Unfortunately, he didn’t confirm that they would have the big pockets. I sent him an email asking some clarifying questions, and I’ll post the replies when I get them.

I haven’t had JNCOs since about…6th grade.

My mom never let me buy them cuz they looked “sooo horrible”, but I was able to convince her to since they were khakis.

This is exciting.

Telephone? Those are the things that send text messages right? :stuck_out_tongue:

You are my new hero!

Do you take requests?

I don’t care if you’re my hero or not, I’ll fight you for those 36s! Fortunately (probably more for me than you lol) I do not live in the Vegas area and we’ll be able to dominate our respective markets.

You are awesome.

Yes it is. How big of geeks/nerds/losers are we that we’re excited for an old line of pants to be renewed?

Not very? Okay.

Get the Cross Colours guys on the horn, pronto

Screw JNCO jeans! Zubaz are back, baby, and you don’t even have to go to Chess King to get them!

GO BILLS!

I was a pretty big fan in high school ('95 - '97), but I dunno . . . some things are better off dead.

I need a pic of you guys currently in JNCO’s, because in high school when people wore them, they looked like over grown toddlers! I don’t want to make fun of something you love, as I’m sure I wear things you would question, but JNCO’s? Must see pics where you look like anything but a raver that reeks of cigarette smoke.

Dude, JNCO Jeans? Those massive, baggy, horrid creations? People are still interested in those? This is a sad day indeed. Anyway, I doubt they’ll be coming back in any kind of big way. American Eagle, Hollister, and the like have essentially cornered a large part of the teen jean market.

Those are for preppy pussies. JNCOs are for a whole other crowd.

These are essentially the giant, baggy jeans so prevalent a few years ago?

And we want them back, do we? I…see.

Yes and yes.

Don’t worry, if you’re happy in your restrictive, uncomfortable pants, no one is forcing you to stop wearing them. :stuck_out_tongue:

No pants are the most comfortable pants.

Rule 34.

I don’t have any full body pictures of myself. Perhaps our Snowboarder friend can contribute.

And speaking of Bo, what kind of maintenance tips do you have for these jeans? I want my hopefully soon to be purchased new pairs looking like new for as long as possible. Little help?

Are you serious?

Am I an asshole for sort of hoping Covered_In_Bees reveals he’s just been dicking around with Snowboard Bo and actually hates JNCO jeans, or am I just foreseeing the inevitable outcome of this?

What would this inevitable outcome be? I am genuinely curious as to what you mean.

I think that he means that the happy dance you guys are doing for this particular brand of jeans is a little surreal. I’ve never seen two dudes so excited about pants. That’s cool though. I’d be pretty stoked if Hypercolor came back myself.

American Apparel sells them

I’ve never seen an adult wearing JNCOs. Some skater friends wore the not super crazy wide ones in 6th grade and some of the raver/rocker posers that were “all dark and shit man” wore them early high school. Usually with lots of eyeliner and oddly died hair, Slipknot or Kittie tshirts.
