Thanks for the link, Eli.
I hope I can offer some comments.
First, the website is unbelievable slow to load pages. Hopefully that’s something that your web guys at Newthink can fix.
Second, these jeans look terrible. The only thing that even evokes the Jnco trademark style is the artwork on the pockets. Pockets which, I noted, are not only small like Levi’s or Lee jeans (or almost any other major brand available) but also have a flap on them. No one wants flaps on jean pockets, and we bought Jnco’s for the huge rear pockets specifically.
I’ll be looking for these in stores so I can see them up close, but from the pictures on the website, these all look like tight fitting emo kid jeans, not the big, baggy, comfortable clothes that Jnco was famous (and sought after) for.
Most of us don’t want our clothes pre-ripped. Most of us don’t want our clothes pre-creased at the crotch. Most of us don’t want our new clothes to look like some skinny emo kid wore them for 10 days while sitting in motor oil.
Third, $60 is too much for a pair of jeans. I used to get your jeans & shorts at JCPenney for $25-40 a pair. The country is in a recession, money is tight for everyone. $60 is just too much for a pair of pants, particularly ones that look like they’ve already been worn and put thru the ringer.
I hope that you have new styles coming, and that y’all truly return to the aspects that made Jnco unique and a trendsetter. I’ll gladly scoop up those jeans and shorts by the truckload, even with the inflated price tag.
But from what I saw on your website today, it’s no dice. Maybe the 14 year emo kids who shop at Hot Topic will buy them, but not the majority of your previous fans.
I’ll keep watching to see if Jnco returns to the styles, fit, and big pockets that made you a true star in the fashion universe. I hope you will.
