I think that Evan is going to tell the girl that he doesn’t have any money, and the twist is, they are going to offer the winning girl either a million dollars, or Evan. She will have to choose between the money or the guy.
You know, I hadn’t thought of that, but it seems a very likely scenario.
My thinking is that Zora (who appears to have a pretty good head on her shoulders) already has figured out that Evan is not a multi-millionaire. You have to kindof figure that when you go on a Fox TV show, they’re going to try to jerk you around somehow. Plus, Evan almost let it slip a couple of times. So, maybe he pickes Zora, tells her he’s not rich, and her response is “Well, duh, you big goof! You think I’m stupid?”
Zora grew up poor (allegedly). She’s probably more comfortable with the thought of meeting/dating/marrying a “regular Joe” than a multi-millionaire. That kind of money can be intimidating.
Sarah is pregnant…that’s my guess, I don’t think Fox is into giving out a $1M with how they spent so much on the show already.
Man… that show was a waste of an hour. A recap show? A freaking recap show? With just a few crumbs of info to whet our appetites for next week? sigh…
I’m still betting for the obvous: Fox gives evan or the winning woman $1 million. All the other twists are just too convoluted.
I wish Pual hadn’t said anything about the twist. Now that we know there’s a twist, it won’t be so surprising.
My Theory:
Evan decides that he doesn’t like Sara or Zora, comes out of the closet, and he and the butler ride off into the sunset together, after finding out that the butler actually is worth $50 mil.
Hey, it is Fox…
Wow, that’s the most plausible twist theory I’ve heard. You may be right.
My theory was that one of the girls that he dumped along the way was actually a millionaire. After he chooses either Zora or Sarah, he’ll be told that he can either choose one of them, OR the girl he dumped who is rich.
Neither knows he’s poor yet, and he’ll have to take his chances on which one he thinks will take him.
Too twisty? Yeah. I like xizor’s idea.
No, the twist is that all the women in the show are millionaires who paid to be in a contest to win an unsuspecting young underwear model. They aren’t allowed to let him know they are rich, so they are all randomly assigned backstories.
Oooh, to build on xizor’s idea…
What if the girl he picks gets to choose either the million or him…THEN if she chooses him they get to split the money, but if she chooses the money he gets nothing?
I think xizor has the right of it… after being told that Evan isn’t a millionaire, the girl will be given a choice of staying with Evan or a pile of cash. I think what the choice is will depend on the girl… Sarah will probably take the money, Zora just might choose the guy.
And I’m with gonzoron… what a stupid waste of time last night’s episode was. A big recap, nothing new, no resolution. Just advertising dollars fr Fox. Based on the way they edited it, I’m led to believe that the choice will be Zora, but that might have been purposefully misleading.
Still, I’m glad I was making invitations for my daughter while it was on. At least I accomplished something during that wasted hour.
Oooo! Or, how about this:
Evan picks a girl. Even is then told that whoever he doesn’t pick gets a million dollars, so he can either keep his choice or switch. Like, if Evan picks Sara, Zora gets the million. Or Evan picks Zora, and Sara gets the million. That would be interesting.
I should start creating shows for FOX.
Id bet my fricking life saving that the twist is that the network gives Joe a million bucks.
- The network looks like a hero
- They haven’t duped the American public which is a no no.
- Evan is too dumb to pull off being poor.
Guys! Guys! Guys! You’re all assuming that the twist has something to do with money!
What if the twist is “Evan is gay!”?
What if the twist is “Evan has a terminal disease!”?
What if the twist is “Zora/Sarah dated Evan a couple of years ago but kept quiet about it”?
What if the twist is “Zora/Sarah is gay”?
How about Evan goes mormon and marries Zora and Sara!
I think the trick should be a “Let’s make a Deal” thing. She can have Evan or what’s behind Curtain #1. If she picks what’s behind the curtain, she’ll end up with a big flaming pile of poo, but if she picks Evan she gets the big lughead and a million dollars.
You just know Sarah would pick the curtain prize if she knows that Evan isn’t really rich.
I think the twist is that all the women are mercenaries and will be paid a million dollars to go to third world countries to bathe children.
It’s too bad Melissa let the cat out of the bag with her slip-up.
I thought, even before this episode that a cool twist would be:
Evan picks. Evan tells lady of choice The Truth. Lady then has choice of accepting or rejecting him.
Then, after she makes her choice, she is told the twist.
If she chooses yes, they split a million dollars after all.
If she chooses no, she is told that if she HAD chosen yes, she woulda gotten to split a million dollars…
so cruel I like it!
I’m going with Elf6c - it’s obvious that the Butler segments were shot later, since he comments on what we’ve just seen out of the thousands of hours of footage. So, they had him comment on the runors to hook us in. Kinda like when NBC used to say that Niles and Daphne were finally going to get together on the next episode, then it was just some bullshit teaser / misunderstanding. If there’s any kind of twist, it is in the underwhelming category.
And how could they replay the “mercenary” line but not the “I choo-choo-choose you” puzzle?!!
I think that Rick Rockwell will swoop in and steal away with Sara and Evan will get stuck with Darva Conger. Wait, that’s a different show… or is it? Whatever.
My theory: The twist is that Evan and Zora are actors, and their on camera stuff has been partially scripted, partially improv.
There is something fishy about Mr. Marriott. He insists his parents are comfortable but not particularly well off and that his dad worked two jobs. Yet somehow they managed to send him to a prestigious military school which (currently) has a tuition of nearly $20,000 per annum.
