I’m hoping for the twin thing. It’d be…cool.
That is exactly correct. I have posted before that one of the contestants is an acquaintence of my wife and a good friend of a good friend. Before the show aired but after all of the promos started airing she sent a brief email to her entire address book.
She said the following:
They were all totally fooled. They were told that they were auditioning for a “Sex in the City type reality show to see if 20 successful, educated women could find love in Europe.” She claimed that they didn’t even know it was a competion for just one man.
This particular lady is a wannabe actress who did the show on a lark and as an attempt to start an acting career. That is probably the case for most of the people on the show.
Oddly enough, this same friend knows one of the people who was on Survivor. She doesn’t know her very well, they share an ex-boy friend. She is also a wannabe actress.
I hate reality tv (Mrs. H likes some of the more popular shows) and this is the only one I have ever watched for more than a few minutes only because my friend’s good friend is on it. My guess on the twist is the obvious one, Fox is going to gift Evan with a million bucks after the scam is revealed and the winner (I’m guessing Zora) gives her response.
Haj
On the first episode, when thay are all about to meet, did the host not say something to the effect of-
I thought they had an idea of his supposed wealth.
Yep, I remember hearing the hardly-ever-there Hostess (Alex what’s-her-face) saying that to the 20 women after they’d gathered together at the castle.
HAH!
Ho-hum.
What a twist :smack:
My, how “shocking”.
Our twists were better!
I saw it a mile away, but had the amount wrong.
Those lying BASTARDS! They said it was something we would NOT expect! Here is a whole freaking discussion of people saying exactly what happened!
Ooo. Even screwed UP. He told her that she was $500,000 richer. If he meant to be with her through the end he would have said a million.
I missed it. What was the twist?
I called it perfectly! I even guessed he’d pick Zora.
So, if she had said no, then he would’ve gotten the entire million, or only $500,000?
Wonder if that money is taxed? Either way neither of them are millionaires.
Evan is either a better actor than he’d been letting on through the whole show (no, I didn’t watch all of the episodes, or even parts of each, I just caught glimpses here and there and was totally mindblown at how dumb he looked/sounded when I did) or that lame-o twist completely surprised him.
I called the ‘twist’ I think 2 weeks into the show, before they even hinted that there was a twist ending. Pretty obvious.
I didn’t call zora until 3 weeks ago though.
I just missed it. What happened?
Read the thread. That’s what happened.
They gave the couple $1,000,000.
I kept waiting for Mr. “I’m-not-a-butler-but-I-play-one-on-TV” to really twist things up after he gave the couple the check, by telling Evan that had Zora not shown up in the ballroom, Fox was going to give him $50 million.
“You stupid b*itch! I could’ve had 50 mil!”
“But I loooove you!”
“F*ck love.”
Happy
In case there’s still someone who hasn’t heard, SPOILER ALERT:
OK, if I’m Zora, I am thinking to myself (given the time to ponder that she was given): “OK, I’m on a TV show and we’ve all been strung out for weeks, then told there’s no money. There’s a good chance that I, the winner, am being tested to see if I’ll be true, for richer or poorer. So, if I say yes, there’s a good chance at a huge payoff for being so loyal and un-shallow. If I say yes, and there’s no payoff, I can always break the thing off tomorrow, no harm done. Saying no and walking away would therefore be stupid.”
Plus, she said she was “turned off” by his supposed $50 million inheritance. Wouldn’t she then be turned off by the fact that he and she were just given $1 million? If money is such a turn-off, she would have just broken it off right then and there, no?
