Sorry. It was meant humorously, thought that was OK.

Do the (clap, clap) potty dance.
I had the most awful **Bruno Mars **earworm for two and a half days (and nights!) last week. I won’t even speak its name for fear of resuscitating it.
My current one, which I’ll trade for anything except Bruno Mars, is:
The purpose of a man is to love a woman
And the purpose of a woman is to love a man
So come on baby, let’s start today
Come on baby, let’s play—
The game of Love (love), Love (love), la-la-la-la-la Love!
It’s my piano practice piece for the week, and I really have it nailed, but hate hearing its constant presence.
Saturday in the Park. I think it was the Fourth of July. A man selling ice cream, singing Italian songs. Ecco va-re, i-se-na-te. Can you dig it yes I can.
This stupid ad jingle. (It’s for Aaron’s rental whatever center, for those of you who don’t want to click on the link.)
I always wake up with a song stuck in my head, making my morning routine all the more obnoxious.
I was looking at “Know Your Meme” and I learned of the latest Japanese earworm:
Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya!
I like this cute version:
Rollerblades by Eliza Doolittle
See you with a broken string, tell me what you really mean,
Do you know what you want?
While beating up on yesterday, I was on my rollerblades
Rolling on moving on
This very often gets in my head - but right now my earworm is “Do You Hear the People Sing?” from Les Miserables.
It’s just SO damnably catchy and cute! Ran across it randomly years ago, and it regularly recurrs as an earworm even if I haven’t heard the song in months.
ETA: It might just be my connection but I can’t get the video to play at all; give it time or try again later, it’s worth it
This. Grrr…
It comes out of nowhere a few times a year and I’m not sure why. It’s been in my head this time for about a week now.
The opening song for Fresh Prince of Bel Air. God please make it go away.
I was in the mountains for a bluegrass jam last weekend. We did Wayfaring Stranger twice during the time I was there. Once home, I started doodling with a couple of variations on the autoharp. Unfortunately, the song doesn’t leave when the harp goes up, but accompanies me to work, where I find myself singing/humming it at odd moments.
One that keeps popping into my head is George Michaels’ Faith. Is it in some advert? I didn’t hate it, but didn’t love it and can’t imagine why it keeps popping into my head unless maybe I’m hearing it in on TV and not realizing it.
I’m scared.
Over the past few weeks I had three major earworms, one after the other. The first one was the Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter”; the second was Rage Against the Machine’s “Sleep Now in the Fire”; and now it’s Johmmy Cash’s “The Man Comes Around”. All excellent songs, to be sure, but thematically… well, is my subconscious trying to tell me something? Because I’m not sure I wasnt to hear it.
“It’s too late to 'pologize, it’s too late…”
I don’t know who does it or what the name is, but I wish it would go away.
“Loca” by Shakira, which is OK because I like the song. What I hate is when I get a song I hate stuck in my head. I can’t even THINK about “The Chicken Dance” without…oh, damn.
