Am I the only person who is outraged that the FBI is devoting resources to what is basically vandalism? They don’t have time to stop Nicholas Cruz from slaughtering 17 people, but they can drop everything to see if someone’s personal blog was hacked? I guess it’s possible that Reid’s lawyer is lying about this.
I think Joy Reid very likely said was she said and lying now to try to cover it up.
But IF she didn’t and these blog posts were a result of more recent hacks by external agents (Russian hackers/trolls, for example), then I can see why the FBI might be interested in looking into it to eliminate that possibility. It’s not rocket science to look at Google and Internet Archive logs. Their IT forensic professionals can do that in a matter of a few hours and move on with more important things if it turns out that she is lying.
What makes you think they’re dropping everything else? The FBI is a big organization, capable of conducting many different investigations at once.
Never hear of her, and I watch MSNBC. My first thought was: she that lady on The View (which I don’t watch)? But I think that is a different flavor of Joy.
Her show just started and she sure ain’t dodging the issue.
<underline mine>
What sort of racist remark is that, John? :dubious:

Is anybody’s life in danger? Would the hack result in a massive data breach and result in thousands of people having their personal information compromised? Is she such an important person that the hack could lead to more serious crimes affecting many more people?
It’s hard enough to get law enforcement to attend to real crimes. Only the elites get this special treatment.
IF this was a hack, and I’m not saying it was. But IF it was, I can see why her relatively high profile as a member of the progressive media would rise to the level of importance for the FBI to investigate. Given the political climate and all.
Hah! It was originally “a Joy of a different color”, but I changed it.
Heh. Elites.
I’ve heard of other examples of embarrassing posts on social media involving celebs/semi-celebs that were claimed to be cases of hacking by nefarious parties, but damned if I can recall a single case that was proven to be so. :dubious:
As for the obscure (at least to me) Joy Reid, props to Bryan Ekers for combining two of the standard knee-jerk defenses when one’s partisan ox is gored: 1) the nothing-to-see-here-move-along excuse, plus 2) They Do It Too.
In the spirit of #2, my favorite “the dog hacked my computer” story is that of Sharyl Atkisson, one-time CBS News correspondent and more recent purveyor of government conspiracy and antivax theories, who’s made a virtual industry of her claim that the deep state (or its equivalent) hacked her computer and personal info (a more sober interpretation is that she was the victim of a stuck delete key).
Maybe. But being that you have absolutely no clue as to her powers of recall, it’s really just a guess, isn’t it?
Do you really want to debate something here, or just get in a dig at a liberal pundit?
Edit: For the record, I think she’s full of shit, but that’s just a guess.
Pretty-darn-liberal here:
While the name sounded vaguely familiar, I had no idea who Joy Reid was before I opened this thread. However, I figured that since **Bricker **started the thread, Joy had to be a liberal of some sort, because apparently **Bricker **only cares when liberals are bad people.
Are you suggesting that the FBI is investigating this in order to clear Reid? Because otherwise it doesn’t make sense. “Oh, please, FBI, I did something offensive in the past, but have no way to prove it. I know I’m not an elite, but please look into this anyway and verify it, so that as much humiliation and shame as possible can be brought down on me.”
More a matter of “Look, you guys do it to so my guys get a pass”.
Maybe that’s the debate.
I sang it all the way through. Nicely done. ![]()
That ‘victory’ thing is awkward, but it’s not that it’s missing a syllable, it just ends up having an odd emphasis. ‘Big vict’ry’ would work there.
Btw, I had the same reaction to the thread…Joy who?
Perhaps one day we will bask in a golden age, when hypocrisy might be thought a bigger threat to the Republic than incompetence and stupidity.
I, for one, will not be voting for Joy Reid.
But seriously, don’t we already have a SLIOTD thread for 10-year old liberal misdeeds?
Same here. Not only don’t I know who she/he/it is I have never seen or heard the name before this thread.
