Welp, yet another week of waiting to get an answer about the job. They seem pretty sure they’ll have it all down by next Thursday. If I don’t get this (And I have zero reason to think I won’t get it except that I haven’t got it yet) I am going to be one REALLY pissed off white woman. Which doesn’t sound as scary as it will be. :dubious:

Aww, thank you! I’m better than I was a couple of weeks ago, when I decided that I was sick of waiting and had decided to just move on to Plan B without waiting. But the puppies are keeping me sane

Y’all are going to love this. I just got off the phone with Night Audit Lady (who’s figured out my phone CAN RECEIVE CALLS FROM WORK*). Kitchen Guru has misplaced his can opener. He’s going to borrow mine so he can get some gravy opened for breakfast. My brand new can opener that I just got yesterday.
*I complained mightily in the workplace griping thread on Wednesday that I missed Sunday because Night Audit Lady DIDN’T CALL ME TO TELL ME I WAS ON THE SCHEDULE. :mad: Apparently she’s figured out how to call me.
Morning, all! It’s wet and miserable over here, in fact I’ve just had a look outside and it’s bucketing down. Shame I have to go out today, I was hoping to stay in and have a jammies day but there are errands that need to be done. Luckily it shouldn’t take long, I am not planning to do much in town apart from the absolute essentials so hopefully it won’t be long before I’m back here and dry again.
Not been doing much lately apart from sleeping a lot, for some reason when I’m not at irk I can sleep for 8-10hrs a night but when it’s a “normal” night, I get by on much less than that. Anyway, I’m making the most of it before irk starts again all too soon.
Other than that, I has a blurf.

**Spaz **- is your new can opener the type that cuts thru the side of the can just under the lip? If so, be very, very careful. I had one of those years back and I thought it was great… till I sliced my pinkie open. :eek: For some reason, I was rummaging thru my recycle bin and when I reached in, my pinkie was perfectly positioned at the edge of the upward-facing can (not a yoga thing) and the exposed edge cut me deeply. I have a scar to remember it by, and that very day, I tossed that opener. So please be careful!!
Good morning! It’s 7AM and still really dark here. We’re supposed to have a rain/snow mix, but I just looked at the weather radar, and we’re in a band with snow to the north and west, rain to the south and east, and nothing over us. Well, lots of clouds over us apparently. I’m letting **FCD **sleep in and I’ve been out with Higgs twice so far. There’s a slight bit of moisture on the ground, but no falling precip. We’ll see how the day develops.
I’ve got to do some rug-cleaning today. **FCD **spilled some milk in the living room, and the dog watered the carpet 3 different times - *someone *wasn’t paying attention!! I was going to half-empty the room, but I’ve decided to just spot clean. With both of us home all day ad the TV in the living room, I don’t need that room off-limits entirely. Especially with **FCD **feeling ick again - apparently he’s never completely gotten over his cold. 
My other exciting plans include doing laundry and baking some oatmeal cookies. In fact, as soon as I post this, I need to get the butter out to soften. Other than the chores, I’ll be working on an afghan today - I’m about 2/3 done with it, and I’m quite pleased! And we’re going to have the honey baked turkey breast for supper, with fresh broccoli and whatever else I decided to make. So shall my day go!

I’m up and getting ready for water aerobics. It looks a bit interesting outside. It’s still too dark to tell if there’s a significant amount of new snow or not. Guess I’ll find out in a few.

It’s a whopping 37 out today but anything above freezing words for me.
I told sah-kid today is the day, we are going shopping. He got out of it because piddle pup was so contrary.
Holiday pet sitting is over and I’m glad!
I used to do 18-20 visits a day over the holiday season, I couldn’t do that now if my life depended on it.
Getting older sucks.
Must be something going around with the elderly, my mother’s bf fell down the icy steps outside, he seems to be okay, just bruised up. My best friend came home from work yesterday morning to find her fil lying on the floor, where he laid all night after falling.

Bro and his GF were supposed to drive down today, but the weather (that damned snowstorm from Arkansas will hit here today) and her flu have forced a reschedule. I’m disappointed and a little relieved that I don’t have to worry about them driving in the yuck.
