I was walking through a parking lot today and I FOUND A $20 BILL in the snow! Yay! I’m rich.
No snow in our neighborhood, but lots of rain. We’ve been out for breakfast, then we went to Lowe’s and bought the new faucet for our new sink and counter. I should probably get started with my chores… yep, should get right on that… yep, I should…
I can breathe today!!!
Nothing coming out of the sky yet, but they’ve promised us a day-long wintry mix
No snow here and none for the foreseeable future. I’m okay with that.
As far as I know, we don’t have any plans for today, so it will be a day of relaxing.
Supper is taken care of because I made a ton of prime rib soup yesterday.

Party at Midget’s place! She found a twenty so she can afford the BIG bag of Cheetohs.[sup]TM[/sup]
We went to Pearly’s (great place for down home sustenance) for brekkie then over to OYKW’s place to check on it and round up dirty clothes. I told him he might as well just do laundry at da cave b ein’ as it’s dreary and ick out and we have no plans for anything else. I took two quarts of chili out of da freezer which I will dump in the slow cooker in a bit to warm up. I also took some hotdawgs out. I got a bag of coleslaw at the sto’ when we stopped to buy some collards for New Year’s Day dindin. So, whilst laundry has been goin’ on I have made up the slaw (hey I had to put drssin’ on it and toss it so it counts!) and cleaned the collard greens. Now it’s chill time. Well, after I dump the chili in the slow cooker.

Glad that most Mumpers are feeling better and having a lazy sattiday. I have nothing to report cept its chilly and sunny so far here in SE Texas. Had coffee and did the x word let the lazy ensue…

I think I’d rather buy cookie ingredients and make homemade cookies. Maybe I’ll do that tomorrow or the next day.
Speaking of homemade cookies, I just took the last of the oatmeal-butterscotch chip cookies out to cool. They are very yum. I don’t expect them to last the weekend, being married as I am to a major fan of oatmeal cookies, especially when they have butterscotch chips in them.
I tidied the kitchen, altho it’s a bit messy now after the baking. Couldn’t bring myself to drag the laundry downstairs - maybe tomorrow? I’m thinking it might be a good time to knit. Puppy is napping, so she won’t try to “help” by holding the afghan firmly against my lap… :rolleyes:
It’s still grey and dreary, tho the rain has stopped for the moment. Mail has come but I can’t bring myself to walk down the driveway just yet. Knitting it is!

Hrm, food. I’ll make my gingery-leeky-shrimpy fettucinne for the in-laws. Will cut back on the crushed red pepper though; they may be Mexican, but that kind of heat doesn’t really thrill them. 
Puppies are all sleeping in a pile outside our room; they are still following me no matter where I go. I am da Pied Piper of Puppies, apparantly. 
Later today we shall go back to the casino/hotel at which I left my new coat last week. >.< Note to self: do not EVER hang anything up in a hotel closet, 'cause you know darn well you’re going to forget it later. :smack::smack:
