That’s a pretty big concept, there. And I like the visuals. But it sure looks a bit plotless. Is so, Chris Pratt is gonna have to sell the crap out of his charm to make it work.
Then again, the last one wasn’t great - and wasn’t terrible - and it made a boatload of money.
no it never was stored anywhere but the two islands …same as the dinosaurs but the loophole is dr wu being taken off by the sort of army guys that wanted to train the raptors for war …
So they’re rescuing dinos off Jurassic Park before the volcano explodes, but then they’re still on the island as it explodes? So we already know they’re left behind and the final climax is escaping the volcanic blast, or is there going to be more plot after somehow?
I believe that one day, a sequel to Jurassic Park will be made that is not terrible. The Lost World was as close at we have gotten, but Jurassic World was miserably bad.
I hope they manage to make this a good movie. I’d be super impressed if they did.
With the possible exception of the first, when you really boil it down these movies are all based on the premise that everyone always makes the wrong decision at every possible opportunity, smart people even, and that’s just lazy writing. Dragging a baby t-rex back to your own camp because it’s hurt? Walking off with raptor eggs? I’ve rarely seen characters so epically stupid who still get to live. I always find myself cheering for the dinosaurs, because the human characters are all idiots and deserve to die.
Well, I’d argue that it has direct bearing on how much risk of human life and resources you should put into it. I’d value an island of endangered snow leopards more than one covered with Canada geese since we’re not exactly lacking in geese.
Although, this brings up a point: In Jurassic Park World, there shouldn’t really be extinct species any longer. If we can make custom Tyrannosauruses from bajillion year old mosquitoes then knocking out some new river dolphins or black rhinos should be a snap. This doesn’t fix things like habitat loss but I don’t know if that’s a point ever raised in the books or films (I don’t remember it coming up in the films).
A tweet I read yesterday (don’t remember who) said it looks like we are about one sequel away from having a Jurassic Park/Fast and Furious cross over movie, and that this movie would be glorious.
