So…Big Brother 10 starts on Sunday, July 13, and they’ve revealed the new houseguests.
Who will we grow to despise by September? Who will we be cheering on? Who will hook up with whom? Who will assault whom? Who will knowingly smirk to the camera every time they do something “bad boy”?
It’s time once again, folks, to besmirch our own dignity while watching trained monkeys destroy theirs!
My prediction:
Dan will get the season’s villain edit. I can see some sort of dramatic enemies/frenemies arc between him and Stephen, the gay rodeo cowboy.
You know what happens to people who love Big Brother don’t you? Or did you not get to the end of 1984?
Well, yes, but in this particular case, people who love Big Brother typically just get a let-down feeling around late September, with undertones of mild disgust and self-flagellation.
Gah. It just looks like the same old crap. One old guy. One gay guy. Hotdogs, bitches, and sweet innocent dupes destined for broken hearts and dreams.
Damn right I’ll be there! 
I’ll be there too. It’s good summer fodder when there’s nothing else on.

I’m still thinking of the best strategy to playing this game. It would have to be something like the Dr.Will strategy. First off don’t win any HOH or POV games for 3/4 of the season. Doing so forces you to make decisions on who gets nominated for eviction or who gets saved by veto. People can then see where your loyalties lie and can hold these decisions against you.
Play all sides and be open about how you are playing the other sides.
Tell alliance A “I’m loyal to you. But I’m going to go tell alliance B I’m loyal to them and lying about being loyal to you.”
Tell alliance B “I’m loyal to you. But I’m going to go tell alliance A I’m loyal to them and lying about being loyal to you.”
Then even if they compare notes or ambush you they still don’t know who you’re really loyal to.
Damn, I loathe Renny already.
She’s my age. 
She’s definitely got the edge on “annoying”. That’s the kiss of death in the early stages, unless you’re a total babe or a total hunk.
However, I can only find it hilarious that the bartender with delusions of artistry thinks Renny is delusional. Not that she isn’t (no, honey, everybody does NOT like you at this stage), but please…
The great-grampa-boob-grab was amusing and creepy at the same time. I imagine great-gramma is going to be having a little conversation with him come September/October.
I’m just happy that they chose a gay man who isn’t a total stereotype this time. So far, anyway.
My mother (bless her soul) is just amazed at Libra having a white twin and a black twin (I was visiting her this weekend and she’s seen the promos). I managed to refrain from making up Mendelian charts for her…
The Australian version just got axed.
In mid season? Or they’re not going to run another? How long have they been airing it there?
I liked Jerry. I also like Angie because she seems to be attractive and not annoying, something that usually doesn’t come together on Big Brother. Sadly, she’ll probably be shipped off into a corner and not shown at all until the week where she’s nominated and evicted, as per the usual BB procedure.
I don’t watch it, so I don’t know where it’s up to. I just saw the headline in this morning’s paper. It’s been on for about seven years or so I gather. Apparently the number of viewers has slumped fairly dramatically, so the plug was pulled.
