Oh, Trump, already did try by trying to defund PBS; for sure (knowing Trump) because Oscar and others in Sesame Street made fun of him before he was president.
That presupposes that legislative positions are somehow relevant to political affiliation.
Trump basically ran as a 1960 Southern Democrat, as the lead Republican candidate. Once the entire party decides to flip a 180 on 200 years of history, there’s really no way to hold positions any more. The only thing to unify the party is adherence to the party, and that’s all they’re running on.
Why? It’s already subterranean.
