Yeah, although I’m extremely unclear what his buddy’s plan was. Show up at the dealer’s house, confess to Tim that he actually robbed said dealer, strip to his undies and then…not be able to pay off the dealer? And not even be willing to give him what cash he has on him?
All I’m left with is that he was hoping Tim would end up having to kill the dealer for him, but jeez, that seems like an extraordinarily shitty plan, even for a show filled with terrible plans.
On a scale of “one to a shit-load” a great episode…although I’ve only seen three (the pilot and these first two.
Need some more background… what should I know about Raylan’s boss and the guy from Bowling Green… or the other crime boss from the big city?

Just a little info and a question of my own. Raylan’s boss is Art Mullen who previously became friends with Raylan when they were both at the shooting academy as teachers. So fortunately for Raylan, Art was willing to take him when he was no longer welcome in Miami. Art is just about ready to retire so I expect more excitement in that area which leads to my question:
Does anyone remember an episode just after Winona steals the money from the property room where Art recovers a huge amount of money with no one around? It seemed to me at the time that Art decided if Raylan and Winona could steal money why shouldn’t he? I don’t think there was any mention of him turning it in. Anyone remember this better or have any thoughts?
The way I very vaguely remember it was that Art showed some subtle signs that he was thinking about keeping the loot, but sensing that impulse later, Raylan gently coaxed him into giving him the money to book into evidence, which he did.
And Raylan’s motive for taking the money off his hands wasn’t just to help keep him honest. Raylan was looking for the $100 bill that Winona had brought to the bank to test the viability of the counterfeit money she stole from the evidence room, when one of the bank robbers took it from her. It turned out that Winona’s $100 wasn’t in that loot - the robber who took it kept it on his person and it was later booked into evidence when he was captured at a second bank robbery. Which led to Raylan having to go through all kinds of hijinks in order to switch out that bill and then to get the rest of Winona’s stolen money back into the evidence room.
