So yesterday I got a call from K. We were supposed to go shopping last night and I was going to spend the night at her place. That got canceled because she had a job come in. She does freelance ad work. Anyway, that got canceled but we did go out to dinner.
Dinner was good. Lots of hand holding and touching (sometimes I can be a little on the dumb side. I sat down across from K and she said, ‘No silly, over here’). Damned but this woman makes me all tingly. After we finished eating a guy she works with sometimes happened to come in for dinner. We talked to him for a bit then headed out. When we got outside she suggested that I come over to her place, she could work on her stuff and I could stay the night. I had to decline, which really sucked When she told me she had to work I put off doing my math (I am working on my C.S. degree) since I figured that I now had the night free to do my homework. I really wanted to go with the Bart Simpson approach (The joy of mortgaging the future!) but did the responsable thing instead. Damn, I hate being responsable.
Anyway, tonight is dinner at my sisters followed by the night at my place. MMMMMM, I get to play with K. As an added bonus she is going to make banana pancakes for breakfast tomorrow
Hey, I am smitten. It is well known that smittenitis* affects a persons typing skills.
So we went over to dinner at my sisters house. That went well, dinner was good and we went and sat in the hot tub for a bit. After that K and I went back to my place. Much fun ensued. Mutliple fun sessions. In the morning more fun ensued and some snuggling in bed. Then she made pancakes, which rocked. After breakfast we showered (with yet more fun!) and I took her home as I had to head out to work.
To answer Heffalumps question, we are friends (who have a lot of fun) and I think more may develop. I believe that she doesn’t want to commit to anything right now, for whatever reason, and given a little time she may change her mind. Note, I am not going to wait around forever but I am willing to give it some time. As far as I can tell she does like me quite a bit.
Last night I played guitar for her for a bit. Not too long but a couple of my pieces. She liked them quite a lot and mentioned that the next time I came over I needed to bring my guitar so that I could play for her daughter, H. Ks daughter is 9. I met Ks daughter once, briefly. H had just been dropped off from spending the night with her father and it was bed time so I just said Hi. K said that H would really dig it and wants me to bring my guitar over the next time I come by. This is a bit of a change in that so far all of our plans did not include H. K seems very protective of H (which is a good thing).
Now, I am checking to see if I can score a hotel room for the night of the 12th. We are going to see Blue Man Group and I want to get a room for the night if I can afford it. Things are a bit tight right now, taxes ate all my money and I am going to St. Thomas in a couple weeks, but I may be able to manage it.

*Smittenitis, named after Idiota Smittiaen. Smittaen was a protege of Socrates. Sadly, Socrates had to dump Smittaen after Smittaen met a girl, stopped studying and instead started walking around muttering to himself ‘she really does like me, I know it’ all day long. Socrates replaced Smittaen with a (at the time) third rate student named Plato.
I talked to K today. We had discussed me coming over in the morning before work for a morning romp tomorrow. That got changed. K decided that she is going to have her daughter stay home and instead of a morning romp I should come over, bring my guitar, and hang out with her and her daughter. K thinks her daughter will really enjoy hearing me play. K is also going to make lunch. So I am going to head over there before work with my guitar.
Interestingly, I am as excited about the new plan as I was about a morning romp. I only met Ks daughter briefly so this should be cool. The new plan also makes me wonder a bit if K is thinking of a more serious relationship. I very well might be reading more into the change of plans than I should but it does seem interesting.
