No, the things I mentioned were evidence. They may not have all been concrete/physical evidence but they were evidence. Enough for me to say I’m pretty damn sure he didn’t die. Stranger things have happened, so I won’t say I’m 100% sure, but damn close.

As for posting it, Blythe may have believed the statute of limitations had run out. If, as it seems, the victim survived, then there was no murder (which AFAIK has an unlimited statute of limitations). But…
In my quick googling, it appears that the Commonwealth of Virginia does not have a statute of limitations for felonies. In that case, the perpetrators can still be prosecuted.

What, really? You seem to be forgetting that even a cursory search of the internet will reveal to you numerous videos of people shooting, stabbing, beheading, beating, and exploding one another in full, uncensored glory. You can watch serial killers torturing their victims without much additional effort. Crazy, moronic, sadistic people post video evidence all the time. I see absolutely no reason why this video could be fake.
As to the ultimate outcome of the victim, it’s hard to say. He clearly takes two full-strength stomps to the side of the head after being knocked unconscious by a knee to the face. His skull appears to be resting against a metal plate at the time and given the grunts of effort by his attacker, and the previous ferocity with which the marine assaulted him, it’s clear that the guy’s trying really hard to pop his face like a grape.
I have no reservations that, after being tossed into a dumpster and abandoned he could have died. This is all assuming that Liveleak’s description is correct (which is usually isn’t.) What really turned my stomach is when the camera tilts a little, and you can see there’s a nice little audience gathered for the (probably second degree but still grotesque) murder.
I think the operative term is ‘meathead’ not ‘karate’.
In Jujitsu we are taught how to turn many of our moves into a head stomp.
If it’s real, and IF the guy who got stomped is still alive, then since the instructor apparently was buddy buddy with the cops, he might know about the statute of limitations and would know that no charges could be brought against him.
Also, if it’s real and the guy is dead, but it’s difficult or impossible to confirm, the instructor might feel that he’s in the clear and nothing bad, at least legally, will happen to him anyway.
Some people on another forum were saying that the attacker has since lost his legs to diabetes. I have no idea if that has any basis in truth. Would be kinda funny. You abuse 'em, you lose 'em!

No, but the difference between dropping my weight and easing it down is just a few pounds of pressure in my hips. If you get someone on the ground a knee drop to the temple is quite simple.
What school of Ju Jitsu are you following? I have never heard of head stomps being used or taught during the years I practiced it. All throws and techniques pretty much ended with some kind of lock + disarming if a weapon is involved. 'Course, there are probably different styles involved here.
Non-sport Brazillian jiu jitsu is basically “fuck that motherfucker up 6 fucking ways from fucking Sunday.”
Any interaction between foot and head can be seriously deadly. I would think popularized martial arts systems would try to emphasize this early and often.
I think, in a fight, the head and face should be off-limits unless you’re fighting for your life. If you’re just doing a bunch of flowery dance “sparring,” no messing with the head. If someone’s been smooching with your girl, kidney punch.

Maybe it was the Jui Jitsu of practical street fighting. I’ve casually grappled and chatted with a few armed forces members (Army, admittedly) and their hand-to-hand training generally uses a kill-the-motherfucker mentality. Kicking somebody repeatedly in the head is an excellent, efficient way of doing so.
Frankly, I’ve seen a lot of gruesome shit on the internet. For some reason, though, this one really disturbs me. I think it’s the excruciating, long buildup; the way most of it might as well be some mundane, crappy Youtube video before turning abruptly into a snuff film (or maybe not).
Given the audience I’m hesitant to believe they brought this guy in there specifically to kill him. What happened, to me, looks like stocky marine guy wanted to teach doomed skinny crazy dude a lesson about REAL Murican martial arts, and ho-ho you think you’re going to get this dojo? Then once DSCD lands a few wimpy but painful and humiliating blows (if you watch he smacks SMG a few times) SMG gets pissed off. Already over-testosteroned (his kata apparently consists of throwing haymaker overhand rights over and over) once DSCD was down those extra brutal stomps to the dome were just pissed-off deadly-trained jackassery.
So, second-degree murder (or attempted murder.) I hope the fucker rots.
