Keifer Sutherland is the new Solid Snake

Keifer Sutherland will be the voice of Snake in a new Metal Gear project. Whaaat? I like the guy as an actor and he does have a gravelly Snake-esque voice but David Hayter (sp?) always did an excellent job IMHO. He IS Snake to me. Is this a mistake?

According to David Hayter’s twitter he wasn’t even asked, which sucks.

MGS V is apparently set in 1984 - is Keifer playing both Big Boss and Solid Snake?
