Well Pit when you’re listed as the last poster on a thread it totally f***s up layout of the page for me . The thread subject is really small and the last poster is huge .

Well, thank you for letting me know what your new name is - I guess you have read some of the comments that others have made.

I was ready to do battle when I read my email which warned me about a thread in the Pit. I didn’t realize that so many folks read ATMB as well. Anyway, many thanks for the personal heads up. I hope others are as considerate as you were in letting us all know when they change their names.

By the way, are we supposed to run your complete name or can it be abbreviated like Pit or P & P or …? You know, of course, that this is what will happen. I guess we’ll all see you in the Pit, P.

Your problem is not unique. We have a lot of long names here, though, and longer names seem to be the trend, so don’t expect it to go away soon.

If you never changed your Display option, now is the time to see if you are at the maximum your hardware allows.

Go to Start-Settings -Control Panel -Display Settings tab
and pick Display Area one or two sizes larger. If it drops number of colors to 256, you’ve gone too far.

If your icons are then too small, some graphics cards have another tab on the same screen for Large Icons or Large Font. If not, you can go to the Appearance tab and use the “item” pulldown to select ICON. Set the Icon Size to 48 and the Font Size to 8, 9 or 10.

Thx Do Z but I’ve got a laptop which doesn’t give that good of a resolution .

I’ll just have to get used to the different appearance . It’s only when the long name’s are the last poster so it not a big problem , just more of an annoyance .

Well, that is how I’m going to abbreviate your name. Maybe I’m just lazy that way, it seems way too long to look at, much less type.
