What we have is an 18-hour old report from Reuters that a Chinese medical team has gone to Pyongyang to confer with Kim’s team.
I find Reuters to be normally credible, but I’m concerned that neither the AP, BBC, nor Agence France Presse have either added their own reporting or even picked up the Reuters report. Of course, if you’re looking for credible, independent sources, you couldn’t pick two worse places than North Korea and China to look.

N Korea sees the Kim’s as deities. I’ve seen news reports every household has a picture in a prominent place. There’s shrines the people visit.
The news has reported rumors Kim has at least one young child. It would be much too young to take over. I could easily see Kim’s wife and child disappearing after Kim’s death. Swept away by whoever grabs power.
A unstable N Korea is even scarier than one run by a crazy Kim.
