Seems PJ and Howard Shore have had creative differences, and so James Newton Howard (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0006133/) is the new composer for King Kong. No matter how good he is, he has a very short time to get the music in. (Though apparently he he did the music for Waterworld in two weeks)
