King of the Nerds comes back Friday (instead of Thursday) January 23rd for a third season. I enjoyed Season 1 a lot (surprisingly. I didn’t even watch it right away because I assumed it would suck) even if I didn’t like the way it ended. Season 2 was not as well casted but was still enjoyable. Now we have a third season.
I keep feeling that this is an easy show to get really wrong. Maybe this season is when that happens but we’ll see…
Anyone else planning to watch?
Thanks for the heads-up. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed both seasons (though, like you, was disapointed with S1’s ending) and didn’t know it was coming back. Off to tivo it.

I enjoyed season one and season two. I was glad to hear that it was renewed and I am really looking forward to season three.
So I watched episode one and I think the cast is better than last season. I enjoyed it. I felt bad for both people in the nerd off. Ori, because he was branded a bad guy because he is clearly awkward and just made a poor joke that everyone took seriously. And the other guy, who lost, because he seemed a decent and interesting guy. That is what I have liked about these show. So many people that seem like they would be fun to hang out with and talk to. Even the type A girl.
Anyone else watch? I feel like I’m trying to make Fetch happen and it’s never going to happen

Couldn’t tell if Ori was being an ass, or like you said, just unwittingly making a joke in poor taste. (I mean, yeah, nerds are socially awkward by definition, but really? you might get away with that joke with a long term friend, but with someone you just met? super-awkward. bad call, dude.)
I was glad to see the trivia questions weren’t super-easy like some have been in the past (or at least, they didn’t seem super easy to me, but I’m not a huge anime or kaiju guy, so maybe they were).
Could have done with seeing a little less of Curtis…
