Which is to say, not much
For the human dynamics alone, I love this place. Well played, Q.E.D., well played…

Didn’t mean to ignore this, and similar posts by others. Thanks, folks! I do what I can.
Waitaminnut…
I’ll be an asshole to Belrix, I’ll be an asshole to an anonymous poster, but Q.E.D. - “Gee, I’m sorry. I forgot to genuflect” ???
I like Q.E.D., I think he adds a great deal to these boards and would, IMO, qualify easily as a board celebrity. However, you’re suggesting that criticism from a stranger is worthy of ridicule and dismissal while the same words from him are worthy of consideration and kind response?
Wow - a reason to really discount everything you’ve typed, as far as I’m concerned. You’ve just demonstrated it’s not about what’s said, but who’s said it. Content, argument, facts, etc. are not an impediment to the fun you’re deriving from your outrage. I understand - it’s fun to froth at the mouth sometimes - it can make you feel all righteous.
Now - as to the many posters’ variants of your earlier comment about “the use of a medication that isn’t intended for children” and therefore Belrix is committing child abuse.
The manufacturer of Benedryl produces a children’s version. For a child 6 to 12 years old, it recommends 12.5 to 25 mg per dose. This table from a children’s hospital confirms a dosage of 50 mg for a 100 lb child (about where mine is).
The diphenhydramine dosage in one tablet of Tylenol PM is 25mg, about half of what’s recommended for her body weight.
A similar tylenol calculator put the dosage for a 90 lb 8 year old at 618 mg. The dosage of acteminophen in a single Tylenol PM tab is 500.
Tylenol PM is not marketed at children, probably because the market for insomniac children isn’t worth the effort, but its active ingredients are both marketed for children. The fact that they’re combined in one pill doesn’t change that both ingredients are safe for children in the proper dosages.
So - I ask you, and the other posters who are stuck on this “fact”, to kindly Shut the Fuck Up about the dosages already. It’s about the only handle left on the cudgel you’re been swinging and it’s pretty damned thin.
Oh - and while I’m curious at to Shayna’s qualifications, I really didn’t expect an answer because I suspect they’re similarly thin. I know an opinion is something that everybody can have - but her level of vehemence implied special knowledge beyond “hey, I saw that on a TV commercial once”.
I think she needed an irony smiley for that post.
No, no. The exact opposite of that. Put one of these:  after every sentence in her post and you’ll see what I mean.
Do the same for my following post and it’ll all fall into place.
Ah. Color me wooshed, I guess.
If you’ll re-read, I think you’ll see that what she said was, in effect, I was stung by your opinion when I thought you were someone else; if I’d known it was you, I wouldn’t have bothered to respond.
QED replied very masterfully to such an “apology,” by giving her an acceptance in kind.
Anybody want to play poker?
