For those who might be interested, since I’m coming up for this thing Saturday anyway, and I have no interest in attending the Gay Pride festivities, I’m most likely heading to Disneyland on Sunday (I have an annual pass, after all - may as well use the thing). If anyone’s interested in going, this Disney freak would be glad to show you around the park(s). 
I’ll most likely be crashing with a friend in Redondo overnight.

It it with -deep- regret that I state my inability to attend the Dopefest without a ride. My work contract ended a couple weeks ago, and I don’t have a lot of spare cash on-hand. It’s a long distance–since I’m a ways inland in Redlands (near San Bernardino/Riverside)
I’d also like to take the opportunity to tell all of you that next Friday, on the 22nd, I’ll be packing up and moving from southern California to northern Utah.
Yea. It’s a long way. And it means I probably won’t get to see any of you for a long time.
But for what it’s worth…I really enjoyed the dopefest I got to attend some months back, at Jerry’s Famous Deli.
I’m gonna miss all of you. I don’t miss places. Or even my family really. I miss the people I meet. That’s what makes moving truly difficult.

Sorry you can’t make it, Ashtar. I visited Utah (SLC and Park City) a few years ago. It was beautiful, but the religious overtones (undertones?) were a bit disconcerting.

Apparently, there’s a problem with my transportation!!! A scheduling dispute, to be precise. My friends, having arranged to get tickets to see a play on the 15th, got their tickets bumped tot he 16th… the day o’ the Dopefest. Seeing as how “$120 theatre tickets > Dopefest”, that suddenly means that my brother and I have been suddenly rendered rideless.
I’m gonna see if I can scrounge up another ride soon…

Sorry to jump in so late, but I’ve been on vacation. I plan to attend. Spoofe and Monster, consider me your chauffeuse if you can’t find anyone else. At least I know the way there.
Spoofer… I just talked to your brother in chat. I have no problem taking y’all since I’m in your neck o’ the woods now. I warned him, so I’ll warn you, too: if I have to work the next day, I’ll have to leave at 10. I won’t know if I have Sunday off until Friday, though.
Dang restaurants! Always want you to work on the weekends…
BTW, Bryan sends his regards and wishes he could make it this time. He’s leaving town Saturday morning for a week in Atlanta.
I know, I know, this will break many hearts out there, but I’m gonna take my name off the attendee list. I’m taking Friday-Monday off to take my shiny semi-new girlfriend to Colorado.
While I know I was the integral participant (if not the sole reason) for the Dopefest, I have confidence that you can continue without me. 
I’ll be thinking of you all as I’m sitting in the Hot-Springs-In-A-Cave though…

And my friend has profusely apologized, but they snagged those theatre tickets way back in March and, well, it ain’t their fault that the theatre bumped them back a day.

Fairy Princess Kitty is coming along. I’m making her. Making her get up early, girly up and get goin’! She might spend the day with me, Pat and Doob, but maybe not. But, she will be at the Fest.
Lazy bum kid can’t get off her tocus and announce that she’s coming, I asked her to do so 2 weeks ago.
